I would expect that Bama will at leas pick up the first place vote from the writer who voted Michigan #1.

Maybe, maybe not. Those coaches who voted Michigan #8 may be swayed to put Alabama ahead of LSU, if they hadn't already. It would only take three voters to make the switch to move Bama ahead, as there are only 4 points separating them.

Polls will look the exact same. Alabama might have a few more 1st place votes though

I have them #1 in my rankings, see no reason why they should not be ranked 1 in any poll

Im fine with being ranked #2 behind USC. Theres a lot of season left and as long as USC, BAMA and LSU keep winning, the winner of LSU BAMA in November will most likely return to the title game vs USC.

In the coaches' poll, if they take 3 from LSU, that will move them ahead of LSU, 1402 to 1400.

Alabama played excellent ball in every phase. Granted UM was only ranked so high so that there would be a "marquee" week 1 match up, but Alabama did everything thy should have against a ranked team. I have no problem with them being ranked #1. Y'all have a helluva team.

Doesn't really matter but as a fan I don't want to see us at #1 this early. Maybe it doesn't matter but it is just my preference to be 2-3.

The AP is basically USC's bitch, so they'll be #1 in that until they lose.

Jessie Palmer just said on CFLive that he has USC over Bama cause USC looked so dominant against Hawaii.

Agree and if there was an early BCS ranking then there's little doubt that Bama would be #1. But the sports writers love USC so my guess there will be no change in the AP poll but Bama should move up in the coaches poll if there are enough objective coaches.
