Qb Auburn: Until proven otherwise. Bama's is an unknown.

Rb Bama You lose a starter. We have all ours returning. Advantage Bama.

Wr Tied. We have Amari Cooper who will be in the top of tSEC. You have Coates who should also finish high in tSEC, but behind Coop. I know you have D. Williams, but we have Robert Foster. Both highly recruited but unproven in D1.

TE Bama. OJ Howard. Need I say more?

OL Auburn will be interesting to see how you replace a first round left tackle. Probably some drop off from last year, but because our oline sucked last year, advantage Auburn.

DL Auburn : this one is close, but because I'm not excited about our current nose tackle, I'll give AU the edge.

LB Bama

CB Tie Agreed. This is an unknown going into this year for Bama.
S Bama: Landon Collins will be all SEC [/quote]

Auburn's TEs are very very good. Uzomah and Fulse may not be the WR threat OJ is, but when it comes to blocking, there is no comparison between the two. Plus CJ was a good WR target for us and had more TDs than OJ last year.

At worst this position is a tie. If blocking is figured in then the edge goes to Auburn imo

Rb - i could see where bama may have a slight edge here, but we all know whoever gets the lions share of carries for Auburn will have better numbers. Plus we return Grant and Payne who both had over 600 yards last year with Grant leading the SEC in ypc. This position is probably a tie tbh

Wat. I would give the edge to Auburn, but to say it's not close is pure homerism. We have Ashawn and Allen coming back who are both very good. We have Pettway coming in who did well at getting to the qb. Plus you figure in DaShawn Hand and Jarran Reed pushing for reps and Tomlinson finally being healthy. Also having Bo Davis back whose specialty is 3-4 defense and nose tackles, and we should see the overall dline production improve.

Like I said it is advantage Auburn, but not by a landslide.

I don't like to compare tbh since we run 2 different systems and if we were to compare AU's DE's to Bama's OLB's that wouldn't be close either

Rb Tie (Slight edge to Bama, but may even out or lean to Auburn by years end.)
Wr Tie (I think our WR production will vastly improve)
TE (Can go either way because they are good at what they are asked to do in the offense.) (Tie??)
OL Auburn
DL Edge Auburn (Not a major drop off in our two deep, and our 1's are going to be dynamite this year.)

If you give Auburn the edge for blocking, then you have to give Bama the edge for pass catching. Especially since Kiffin is coming in and he actually knows how to use the TE (dang it, Nuss). While you have two pretty decent guys, we have one spectacular guy who will be a first round draft pick and we have a halfway decent TE in Vogler. I would still give the edge to Bama, but not by much.

Top to bottom nobody in the SEC has better running back depth than Bama this year. We have Yeldon, Henry, Drake, Tenpenny, Jones, and Scarbrough. Each one of those backs would start for a lot of teams. Your number one back may have higher numbers, but that is more because of scheme than overall talent. I also think we will be utilizing our depth a lot more. I wouldn't be surprised to see some two back sets next year. I also wouldn't be surprised if we have two 1000 yard rushers next year.

Probably some drop off from last year,

So four returning starters and a 5 star or 4 star with several starts at LT is a drop off?

I'll say
QB- AU
RB- Bama
WR- Bama but if Duke is as good as expected it will be AU.
TE- Bama
OL- AU
DL- AU we are deep
LB- Bama
CB- Tie both pretty average
S- Bama
ST- Both replaces starters but AU is typically better here

cmon man

CJ is a beast in the passing game as well. OJ is good but he is undersized at TE and is more of an oversized WR who has trouble blocking

Good lord. Homer much?

2 of those haven't taken a fricking snap in college. 1 has 6 total carries against SEC competition. Now, all three are starters for 'a lot of teams.'

We have 3 returning starters and a 5 star or 4 star at LT and most think our oline will struggle. I said that yours would probably see some drop off because of losing Robinson. Most teams don't have first round left tackles growing on trees who can step in without missing a beat. I didn't say your whole oline will fold, but it's normal to have some growing pains especially at that position. By the time Bama and AU play, the difference in your oline play from last year to this year may be negligible, but it's worth discussing right now.

Bell and Fulton were not starters. Sunseri was replaced by Collins in the first half of the season. Ivory is back.
