Someone brought up an interesting point about Bryce Young and also some OL players in the NFL being colossal failures. Milroe has basically had his development stunted by a once dependable dynasty. Is a championship 6 years ago (7 next year) a good enough selling point for the crown jewel of the SEC, the Crimson Tide, and their future recruits, to make up for the fact that players likely won’t won’t be prepared in the NFL? Lucky breaks against titans like Auburn and injuries to other star players only to embarrass their own players and the SEC, are not going to happen every year.

Very concerned about our brothers. I’m trying to stay optimistic, but having trouble. Bama fans, your thoughts.

I’ll allow it

Bama was taking advantage of winning with the best talent and having Saban.

The shine is wearing off slowly

What is up with you guys. You have people who genuinely care about you and what do these people get in return? Rudeness. I hope you do not treat your recruits this way. Still reeling over the being CFP’s biggest regret, I see. It’s just not necessary. Move on.

They will do whatever they have to do in order to deflect when the truth is spoken about the obvious decline of their program

For a fan of a team that has had their azz kicked 11 of the past 13 games you sure run that mouth.

Chicken needs to hire better.

I thought NFLSU was banned? And why don’t you use your LSUStephen account anymore? Everyone loved little Stephen.

How do you rack up 394 posts in like 12 days?

Go outside more.

Won the SEC, made the playoffs.

Our "decline" is still better than 95% of LSU's seasons, so...

Since Alabama having more active players in the NFL year after year is a real thing, I think it's a very strong selling point. 6 natties in the last 15 years is pretty OK. I mean, no one else is close. #1 recruiting class (2nd best all-time) last year and #2 recruiting class this year.... looks like Saban must be able to convince them.

This is really good news for everyone in the SEC, Bama and its players are the "chosen ones." But where you see 6 natties in 15 years (it's 5 as the NCAA has stated that the 2020 season is illegitimate, and decided even to not count it towards eligibility, and we aren't even sure it happened, might be a North Korea world cup type situation), I look at it as 0 natties in 6 years. Football, tragically, is a "what have you done for me lately" type thing.

No doubt Saban is making moves in recruiting now. But what about next year? 6 years is an eternity in football. And the consequences for the crown jewel of the SEC humiliating themselves and all of us, I fear, have not been truly realized.

I want Bama to succeed. No, I need Bama to succeed. There isn't a more deserving fanbase in America.

How tf can Bryce Young (or any other player) be declared a "failure" with only one year in the league? Adjusting to the NFL from P5 college football isn't quite the same as high school to college, but there is still an adjustment there...especially for QB's.
If years 2, 3 and 4 are pretty much the same then you might be correct in deeming them failures, but some players just need a change of venue/coaching to break out.

You no longer get 3-4 years in the NFL as a QB to prove yourself.
