LSU had two great players selected in the top 10 and OP is thinking about Bama. Sad, really.

This pick makes no sense. Penix will be 24 before the season. They're paying Franchise money to Cousins and 1st round money to Penix? WTF? They could've had Bowers. He was a perfect pick there. He's a beast and he's from UGA.

Not sure about Gumps claiming him, but this pick is kind of a hopeful sign for the Falcons. This means they are thinking further out than just next year. Cousins will be their QB next year no doubt, and Penix can learn and develop as the future QB.

I don't get it either honestly. He would have been great in Seattle or Denver. Too bad. We won't get to see much of him for a few years unless they're planning to trade him.
I also didn't see Washington getting Daniels. I expected him to go elsewhere.

If this is their strategy, imo, this is the best idea. I don't know why the NFL got away from developing QBs the right way. Last few years, it's been let's throw their asses in and see what we get. If we suck (which we probably will), we'll have a high draft pick waiting to replace him or something like that.

I agree with letting QBs develop, the problem is they're about 5-6 years too late. They should have let someone sit behind an aging Matt Ryan and learn from the best QB the Falcons ever had.

I mean its sad but not surprising. Alabama humiliated LSU and their 2nd overall pick QB last year.
