AND...?

But seriously, football-wise, it doesn't matter that these two want to live out a rap song each day like two brainless idiots. Saban's had about 40 #1 recruiting classes and he'll just plug in an inexperienced awesome player to replace an experienced awesome player. The weed ain't a biggie, but they need guns on them because...?

Because it's in every song/movie that every black director and rap artist has ever made. Yet society/poverty is to blame for this generation of idiots.

If they would have been listening to "Mr. Wendal", they wouldn't be in this situation right now. My reference might be too old, but anyway... There are definitely some problems with people taking their rap music too serious and thinking they are what they're listening to.

I can honesty say that I had not read one post where an Alabama fan has condoned their actions.

If I was Saban I would tell the next player that makes a tweet regarding this situation is gone, period!!

These kids, like most kids, were upset about their buddies, have a built in animosity and world view towards law enforcement and the justice system (rightly or wrongly) and emotionally just started saying things on twitter.

It was dumb and immature.......but it shouldn't be surprising.

Weed and possession of a stolen firearm are TWO mistakes...two BIG mistakes.

Not sure about the weed thing. Although it is illegal in most states that is a gray area right now. The possession of firearms and one that was stolen is the most concerning thing here. Thank God that both at least had enough common sense not to even attempt to reach for that handgun.

Let's be real. Weed is not a BIG mistake. It's legalized in a few states.

Do I think Cam and Bootie are idiots. Yep

And, as someone was saying on the Alabama board, thank goodness nothing went haywire. Hidden guns under seats with big black males in the car (lets just be honest here) at tense police stops can lead to things getting out of hand really quickly, even when nobody wants them to.

Yep, can happen really really fast! I don't know how many cops were involved but one would think that the cop or cops intensity level was extremely high at that point. I agree, 2:30ish in the morning to start, so you know nothing good is happening at that time, then two grown arse men one being Cam that gets out the car, your heart has to be beating out your chest at that point. Then you find two firearms one which was hidden under the seat, yep!

There should be a rule in place that any student athlete caught with a illegal firearm in there possession is suspended 1 year after 1st offense and banned from playing after 2nd offense. These players will only recieve a slap on wrist and be playing by the first SEC game
