An almost TD favorite seems about fair. We all know if Bama wins a close one it'll be a late TD and not a FG

I could see it being tied late with a late TD by either team for the win.

I don't think it looks like that game at all. That was a tough matchup for Utah after coming off three big games against Oregon Cal and Arizona St. then having to travel to USC made it a classic let down game. The sharps pounded USC and moved that number from 3.5 to 6 before kickoff. I doubt this one will see that kind of sharp action. They won't lay more than a TD in this one, particularly considering divisional opponents in a rivalry type game
I disagree. Every pundit and talking head picked Utah to win straight up the week of the game and all you heard was how strong Utah looked and how chaotic the USC situation was. My post wasn't addressing the smart money. It was addressing those dumbasses that think they know more than the experts. BTW, a lack of "sharp action" would only substantiate the fact that the opening line is solid...so we seem to agree...sort of.

For what its worth, ESPN's FPI has Bama as a .5 point favorite on a neutral field, which would correspond the Bama -3 or -3.5.

Their FPI is not the end all, be all, but it has been pretty solid this season, and it gets better as more data accumulates.

I hope so, otherwise it's useless.

Line will be 2.5 to 3 at kickoff. Game is even on a neutral field, Bama is favored at home. If your betting the Tigers, lay your money down sooner rather than later.

Only if Derrick Henry is out.

All I heard all week from commentators and pundits was "somebody knows something" and a lot of them were picking USC.

Link? I could have sworn it had Bama winning both of those games.
