And? We had our chance and we blew it early in the year. I don't see how that's any different from bama. You had your chance and you just had to beat auburn. You didn't. Auburn cashed in on their chance. Bama didn't

Not once have I said that Alabama deserves to be there over Auburn. Auburn deserves it. They made the plays that Bama didn't. But being "good enough" and deserving it are two different things. No sane Alabama fan is saying that Bama deserves to be there. Now if FSU had lost to Duke then they would have.

The only fallacy in your line of thinking is that "good enough" isn't independent of other teams. To be good enough, you have to be good enough to get there and your good enough has to be better than everyone elses good enough. A&M in 2012 might have been capable of beating a team or two, but they weren't good enough not to lose to Florida, and they weren't good enough to not get upset by LSU. Alabama wasn't good enough to beat Auburn, and therefor weren't good enough to win the national championship.

10-3 (6-2) and 11-2 (6-2), we won the tie breaker in the west? we beat auburn this year and that was not even an upset.

LSU wasn't a top ten team in 2012. A&M was top 5.
