2013 = Alabama was number one all season, and if they were good enough to beat a one loss team ranked 4th, they would be in the Title game. They weren't good enough to beat Auburn. What part of this confuses you?

Show me where Bama is lobbying for 2013. A single fan was kidding around and the idea was immediately rejected by all other Alabama fans. That does not equate to Bama.

I mean I don't know what we're arguing about. All I'm saying is that Alabama proved they weren't good enough to win the national championship.

They are good enough to win it. Just like about 2-3 other teams that aren't playing for it. It just worked out this year that they won't get to play for it because other teams took care of business (FSU and Auburn).

Since we're talking about shite...Lets talk about how mediocre Texas A&M is going to be for a while.

No. To be good enough to win a national title you need to be ranked in the final two teams before the end of the year. Bama wasn't good enough to beat Auburn, and fell out of the top 2 where they obviously didn't belong in the first place.

So Auburn shouldn't get to play for it then. They lost also. So has the majority of National Champs since forever.

Whether or not losing should knock you out is not the point. Alabama would be playing for the title had they beat auburn. They did not. The tide had the chance to play for the title, and they lost. Auburn had the same chance, and they won

You need to stop melting down. I don't get what's eating at you. Auburn was batter than Alabama this year and they proved it.

These gumps are whining like Matt Leinart after that Rose Bowl. In the gumps opinion, they were the better team on paper, and that should somehow count for something. Too bad this game isn't played on paper, and results on the field determine championships. Alabama lost to Auburn. It's amazing they can't accept that.

No. To be good enough means to be good enough. If several teams have the same amount of losses then it depends on who gets voted into position to play for it like Alabama has the last couple of years. Texas A & M was good enough at the end of 2012 that they could have beaten anybody. Unfortunately for them they lost 2 games earlier and there were teams with 1 loss ahead of them. They were good enough though to win the National Championship game though.
