This. It's interesting to me, but belongs on the Bama board. Leave this to the phat phils and Germantown tigers of tRant.

Every single team regularly clocks their players as being faster than they really are. Auburn always has a few players running a 4.3, but most aren't accurate times.
They're timing with a GPS, not a coaches stop watch. Alabama has two incoming freshmen that are sub 10.6 hundred guys and Tony Brown is the fastest player in the league. Just because auburn grossly exaggerates times doesn't mean everyone else does

No, just have to have a subscription to any 247 network. The list is also on AL.com.

I'd love to see him and Donte Jackson race.

Would probably be really close in pads, but Tony ran a 10.12 on the track a few weeks ago.

We get it, though. If Alabama does it, it's legit. If anyone else does it, it's fake or over exaggerated.

Almost all major programs use this technology.

If LSU, Auburn, and Tennessee aren't big time programs then Alabama must be the only big time program in the nation.

Right. Auburn has multiple players that run below a 4.30. Legit

Is the proof in the pudding or nah? It's a GPS dude. Meanwhile the auburn lasers have two guys that would break the combine record. You tell me.

A 10.12 100m dash in an NCAA sanctioned track meet is a faster time than any other football player in the league has posted in their life. That was Tony's personal best for what it's worth, but it's still better than anyone else's personal best

What's the motivation for lying?
He didn't even say the kids name. Auburn is posting kids names with fabricated times. Obviously fabricated times. It is what it is. I couldn't tell you auburns motivation for doing that, but they are. Maybe to generate a little scouting buzz? Who knows. 23 mph by drake is fast, but that was peak speed by a really fast guy that was so jacked on adrenaline it's probably the fastest he's run in his life. Similar mph times are recorded every year in the NFL. Meanwhile, no one has ever run a sub 4.22 in football. Unless they went to auburn apparently

Yeah, Bo Jackson.
Unless NFL scouts have motivation to "fabricate" the time of one college player out of hundreds at the NFL combine

Trindon Holliday ran 10.00 and won the NCAA Championship when he was at LSU-RB.
Jeff Demps ran 10.01- Florida RB
Others SEC footballers that ran faster:
Sam Graddy 10.09- Tennessee WR
Willie Gault 10.10- Tennessee WR
Mike Miller 10.11- Tennessee WR
"Likely" faster as well.....
John Capel- Florida WR
Bo Carroll- Florida RB
To be fair, those conditions in Eugene yielded PRs for 80% of the 24 runners in the 100 meter dash heats, including a 9.82 run that set the NCAA All-Time record. Brown ran 10.12 but not make the finals which consisted of 8 runners.
Jackson and Brown both ran at the SEC Track Championships in separate heats but the conditions were comparable.
-Jackson- 10.23 with 0.7 m/s tailwind and made finals where he was injured and didn't run again all season.
-Brown- 10.37 with 1.8 m/s tailwind and did not qualify for the finals
***Brown had the better conditions above as the 1.8 m/s tailwind should yield ~ .1 faster 100m time than a 0.7 m/s tailwind does.
***There are 100m dash "basic time" calculators available that factor in conditions and estimate the time benefit/detriment of said conditions***
Running your best time in the 100m is really about being in the best conditions possible (e.g. very hot, humid, tailwind, fast-bouncy-elastic track as all tracks are NOT the same).
Brown has the faster PR but Jackson has run faster times consistently and is probably the bigger threat to beat John Ross' 4.22.
