You've had a great year, but things aren't over yet.

Tell me how you'd feel if each of the following happen...A)It's been a great year
B)We're on the right track
C)What a choke job
D)Where's my brick

Scenario #1:

Bama loses to AU, is blown out by UF, loses in Cap One Bowl

Scenario #2:

Bama loses to AU, beats UF, Wins Sugar Bowl.

Scenario #3:

Bama beats AU, is blown out by UF, loses in Sugar Bowl.

In all three scenarios I'd feel better than last year. Obviously expectations have risen since the year started.

Going from barely ranked to a top tier team could be worse regardless. I'd be really upset if we started the season number 1 and laid a giant egg.

Really? I think if yall lose to AU you guys will go absolutley nuts, especially if you don't win the SEC.

If you lose to AU and either UF or the bowl, you won't be remembered as a Top Tier team.

That's the way it works sometimes/most times. It's been a disappointing year in many ways.

those are some pretty bleak scenarios.

As a Georgia fan ,of a team preseason #1,how would you feel if Georgia Tech comes to Athens and wins 34-14 and Georgia goes on to lose the Outback Bowl to Michigan State 51-28 ?

I know, I'm wondering if they can see the forest for the trees.

Excited to know who our new DC would be?

FWIW, I think GT might get us this year and bowls are always a crapshoot, especially with our defense.

We're on the right track no matter what happens here on out.

I heard someone on ESPN radio say that Alabama was only the 10th to 15th best team in the country in team talent. I think that's probably about right.

But our guys have been performing, as a team, above the sum of their parts. That's all you can ask for.

We will lose a few good players next year. But we have some good players coming up (like Burton Scott who has been redshirted, Tyler Love and Barrett Jones.) I think next year we will be better on defense than this year. Things are on the right track.

Most fans were expecting 4 losses or so. I think at this point people will be happy with most things. A loss to the barn would hurt but the direction the program is going after these last 10 years is more important to me. Although I live in Houston and don't have to hear it every day.

If we don't win the championship, then I don't really care how people remember us. Nobody remember anyone but #1.

I know the feeling.

These scenarios are all unlikely imo. #3 is probably the most likely, but most projections have us playing Utah in the Sugar and I think we'd beat them rather easily.

BJ doesn't get a redshirt. He's played quite a few games.

only time will tell .... you got to admit no one in this world realistically thought that bama would be were they are right now ..... my only goal for the rest of the season is to beat the barners ..... seccg is a diff story i think that it will be one hell of a game

We have already exceeded the expectations of all but the lunatic fringe in each scenario.

In your second scenario, you seem to be placing the Auburn game in some greater position than any other SEC game. Bama counts championships, not Auburn victories.
I would say the SEC championship is FAR more important than one win in a season, and I'm sure LSU fans agree.

After we played you, I did.

Saban's done a helluva job....even if any of the above scenarios happen.

Yeah, I don't know though. Those kind of statements are dangerous. Overall talent can appear to be pretty underachieving if there's one glaring hole in the line up(see lsu). Alabama's got all the ingredients to be a damn good team this year. An experienced QB, good O line, good D line and good running game (and can pass some if forced to do so). That goes a long way in college football....Does anyone really think Texas Tech has top 10 talent across the board? They have a great QB, good WR's(one great) and a few other good players here and there. But overall they're not at say UGA's level talent wise.

In the second scenario AU would cost Bama a potential NC. I don't care who you are, that would hurt for the rest of time. Like Pitt did to WVU last year or UF did to UGA in 2002.

They are miles ahead of us on OL/DL.

Certainly more experienced on the O Line. And Texas Tech does have one stud on their D-line. I'd be interested to see which school has more guys in the NFL from their lines though in say 4 years.

this team has exceeed my expectations and predictions. I did not expect to win the SECW division muchless be in the hunt for another National Championship. So everything is gravy for me. (predicted an 8-4 worse case/ 10-2 best case record back in the summer)
1 thing I have learned to accept is that I no longer worry whether or not our players will be ready on gameday. CNS seems to have them ready for each game this season and I expect he will have them focused and ready to play the next game. I am still waiting on Bama to play a complete game btw.
