In most cases I'd agree; but if Bama's your alma mater and lifelong dream, I don't know if you can pass in the hope that the offer comes back around. I think you have to look at LSU and the program structure that Saban left behind. The guy after Saban has a shot to win big. Tough call for Dabo when the call comes.

Dabo is the logical choice if he keeps winning. There are many good options out there though. Gary Patterson comes to mind. I think Jimbo would like to leave FSU at some point. Kiffin and Pruitt are both being groomed. And as much as I dislike Urban it would be hilarious to steal him from OSU. Lots of scenarios but the best one would be Saban coaching another 5-10 years before worrying about it.

He doesn't seem like he would fit the style of program that we currently have under Saban. He just doesn't seem like the right guy to follow Saban.

Doubt he'd leave a place where he has 1..maybe 2 tough games a year and most years a cakewalk to the playoff if he beats that 1 tough team and come to the SEC where he'd play a tougher schedule in a 3 week period than he has at Clemson in a entire year.

Dabo won't be the next coach at Bama IMO.

Kyle Whittingham should get some love for what he's done at Utah. Very good HC.

NS will coach until he is 90. 90 is the new 50. Bads has too much ra ra in him and will burn out in the next 10 years.

Alabama will struggle to find a head coach when saban retires. They will have to settle for a 5th or 6 th choice, at best. Nobody worth a damn will want to follow the legend with the IQ that fan base has

Clemson would just hire one of the masterminds behind the operation Jeff Scott

Using bad grammar, when questioning the intelligence of others, makes you look kind of goofy.

This - Dabo's too emotional for a job of that magnitude.

It won't matter if Saban stays around if they someone busts up the circle jerk Saban Emmert has going on. Saban or bama can't win without more talent that everyone and they won't get it without the rec allowed to run wild. It's why probation follows any good runs Bama has.
I really feel sad for you.

You should try mental health counseling.

Bingo!...also, his maturity level isn't there (and may never be) to satisfy the people who make those decisions.

This is why he won't leave Clemson. He would crumble at Alabama. When that time comes for Saban to retire I truly feel sorry for whoever has to follow him. How did it work out after Bear Bryant retired?
