I would just start Coker at this point. He's a redshirt senior. You would think he would become a semi-competent QB just by being so experienced and sticking around for that long. See Greg McElroy, John Parker Wilson, Jarrett Lee, Jonathan Crompton and so many others.

Best as in most talent and upside? Probably Blake Barnett.

Who do y'all want to start?
Whoever gives us the best chance to be the champs of the 2015 season.

Who gives y'all the best shot in winning?
I don't know.
ETA: Well, we at least know it's down to Coker/Morris/Bateman

Whoever the coaches decide upon. And, this year, I don't even have an opinion on who that will be.

See above.
I think Barnett is probably the future. But, as for this year, who knows?
But, I feel confident that we have more than one QB that can get it done.

What is your take on 2009 and 2011?
You had Julio Jones in 2009 who in 2008, had over 900 yards.
Really it's not the same. You were so loaded everywhere else, that all the QB had to do was not F it up. In 2011, the same thing. Loaded everywhere else (Including Maze and Hanks at WR) and all the QB had to do, was not mess anything up.
Starter QB stat line (didn't add in team passing because it takes away from the actual important data)
2009
60.9% 7.8 ypa 2508 yards 17 TDs 4 ints
2011
66.8% 8.0 ypa 2634 yards 16 TDs 5 ints
These are pedestrian stats and that is really all you need when you are loaded everywhere else.
Your front 7 in nasty this year, but the secondary is weak until further notice. The RB situation is nice with Henry and Drake, but your receiving threats are pretty much nothing but potential at this point. Don't really know anything about the OL.
So right now, I don't think you can skate by on mediocre play from the QB.

Article today...
After a spring that had Cooper Bateman splitting time between quarterback and receiver, Nick Saban met with the redshirt sophomore and gave him a rundown on what he needed to improve.
If Bateman wanted to get back into the mix to be Alabama's starter this year, he'd need to improve his accuracy and do a better job of taking care of the ball. Given Bateman's status as one of three quarterbacks still in the running to start against Wisconsin, he did what Saban wanted.
"Lo and behold, he did that," Saban said. "He did that in May, he did that over the summer. His completion percentage has been very, very good relative to the other guys, and he is very athletic and can run. We like a quarterback to be like that."

Your front 7 in nasty this year,
Best in the country
Weak might be a over statement but OK.
They have to stay healthy
A lot of potential but don't forget about the transfer who had around 800 receiving yards as a soph. He is going to be very good.
First round left takle, maybe the best center in college and tons of talent around them.

Have no idea since I haven't seen them practice, nor has anyone else. I "hear" Bateman and Morris are the best here lately. Now, I take that with a grain of salt. I said from the start that if Coker couldn't cut it at FSU I didnt see how he was gonna start at Bama. If he had transferred to USA as I thought he would, ok but transferring to Bama from FSU is at best a lateral move and the competition is at least equal if not maybe even a little tougher at Bama.
I do know this. I'm not worried about it.

I think Bateman wins the job.

Ok I am so tired of hearing about this Bama QB situation. The speculation is ridiculous now.
-5 QB race Coker is leader
-Down to Coker and Cornwell
-Bateman goes to WR (or the idea was at least brought up by the coaching staff or the QB himself)
-Barnett is making some noise
-Job is likely Cornwell's
-Back to Coker and Cornwell
-Rumor Cornwell got into some stuff
-Alec Morris is now the lead dog out of nowhere
-Coker has fallen to distant contender
-Cooper Bateman is now making noise
I mean geez, at one point or another every QB has looked good or fallen behind for some reason. Don't know if this is the world's greatest puppet show (pulling the strings of the media through 'sources' and coach talk), or they just don't know whoTF is going to go out there.

Blake Barnett is the QB Bama fans deserve, but he's not the QB Bama fans need right now.
