Not a Bama fan, but I think they all suck.

I'm not an SEC fan but it appears that the rest of the conference is (again) drinking the kool aid that Bama won't have a QB that can get the job done?

Last year they proved that they didn't need an elite QB when they had an amazing WR group. This year they're breaking in new WRs that have barely played. That's the bigger problem imo.

Yep. From an outsider's perspective, I've heard this a lot about Bama over the last few years yet they always seem to find their guy and win anyway. I dunno why anybody in that league would think they're in dire straights and won't this year. Seems like fool's gold from the outside looking in.

What is your take on 2009 and 2011?

2009 there was Julio. 2011 had a stable of backs that you don't currently have

We will be ok with the WRs we have. I think Morris might be the best option at this point. If Coker hasn't separated himself by now then I am thinking this might tarnish his 2014 Heisman Trophy; Summer Edition.

Blake Barnett is probably the best qb on the team right now from a talent stand point. But, he has that whole true freshman thing going against him.

henry, drake, davis, and scarborough (when he becomes available) is about as good a backfield as you could ever want. As for wrs, in 09 we had julio, but the other 2 were maze and hanks, very similar to cooper with white and jones. We dont have that proven superstar guy this year, but stewart, foster, black, mullaney (who has produced 788 yards in a season before) as a group could actually prove to be an upgrade overall. The ball will be spread around alot more this year, and you can add drake in as a reciever (he is an extremely good reciever, will be in the slot quite a bit)

I don't know I haven't been to any of the practices.

I don't care who starts I just want to win.

I don't know who gives us the best chance at winning I don't get paid millions of dollars to make those kind of choices and I haven't been to any practices.

Last year's WR group amazing? Amari was, but who else? White was always injured (though he played reasonably well). Christion Jones had a horrible senior season. We'll miss Amari a lot. We love the talent we have at that position. 1-8, it's probably the deepest it's been. Stewart, Foster, and Ridley are all top talents. The transfer from Oregon State looks very good and should get back to sophomore year form (50+ catches as a sophomore) now that he's back from injury. Charlot is getting raves. The best of the bunch in the Spring was Cam Sims. We'll get him back in 2016.

Talent wise I think Barnett is.

Get the feeling Coker will be the starter, but the leash will be short

Coker had a blowout week of practice last week. By far the best since he's been here. The minor injury seemed to light a fire in him. I'm skeptical as heck of him in the heat of battle (slow eyes), but if things start to click, look out. He has 1st round draft pick arm talent. Unfortunately, he's always had the slowwwwww decision making issue. QBs are the most fickle position in all of sports, though. Sometimes the light just comes on for guys when you least expect it. Even after 4 or 5 years.

Barnett is a super talent. He'll be the man in 2016, and going forward. There's even a lot of talk that they won't redshirt him, and will play him to get him experience, as he's not viewed as a guy that will be around for 5 years anyway.
