How does one back into a national championship?

IIRC, both teams had one loss...which is equivalent to earning your way into the game. I hope you get AIDS for Christmas btw

I disagree that 2012 isnt even in the same galaxy. Our defense struggled mightily for about 3 or 4 quarters all year. I think that their performance in death valley is excusable and the SEC championship game was just a balls to the wall game on both sides. And then there is Johnny fricking football. They still finished number 1 in total defense.

This year's offense was more well rounded and dynamic than 09 and 11. Call me crazy but i think lacy\yeldon is just as badass as mi\tr or tr/el.

Dunno, but your fellow Bammers claim all the frick day long that LSU "backed into" the 2007 NC. So straighten them out for me, 'kay? Thx

I think this is mainly in response to all the shite LSU fans have dealt Bama over the "Mulligan Bowl" as yall like to call it. LSU took advantage in 2007 of other teams losing to move into position to play for the NC, just like every other team before or since that wasn't wire-to-wire #1 or #2 in the polls. Both 2007 LSU and 2011, 2012 Bama deserved their shot at the title. Anyone who says otherwise is trolling. Sometimes I think the trolls outnumber the legitimate posters on this board.

According to that what if sports thing by MSN, the first simulation I ran had '12 winning 9-7 with '11 dominating the games though.

12 has the best offense...09 the worst
12 has the worst defense...09 and 11 were both historically good, but 11's was better I think
09 had by far the best special teams.

I bet 11 beats 12, 12 beats 09, and 09 beats 11

Who's the best out of rock, paper, and scissors?

Four points:

1. The LSU "backing into" the 2007 NC bullshite began well before the "Mulligan Bowl";

2. As SEC champs and most deserving 2-loss team in 2007, LSU didn't "back into" anything;

3. While I wouldn't call it "backing in", Bama did not deserve a Mulligan in 2011 in lieu of conference champ OSU who had a better overall resume';

4. As SEC champs with 1 loss to a very good A&M team, Bama does deserve a NC shot this year.

That is all.

The 2010 game is on FoxSportsSouth right now. You should turn flip it over and watch that rented mule bend saban and 101,000 inbred rednecks over and ram his moose dong up their arse.

Merry Christmas

Many people saw this year as a rebuilding year, and in many regards it was. IMO '11>'09>>>'12='10

I ran the WhatIf Sim Matchup three times... thought the 2011 team looked pretty impressive until I realized I made them the home team all three games.
