I'll take on on the first of the month just like I do every other month.

It's VERY hard for band wagon fans to get tickets except on the expensive after market. Sidewalk fans and expensive don't mix.
The fans coming to Alabama will be overwhelmingly season ticket holders and students, like it has always been.

I mean, there are. It's okay though, they're everywhere.

I mean, if you're gonna make some joke about LA at least get your references right. Also, apologies for being a petty douche in the other thread.

Let them come and spend their 100s of dollars to local businesses muahaha

If it's anything like 2011, it should be a blast. That was a great tailgating environment, especially since both sides were too nervous and there was a ton of mutual respect for both of those teams to talk too much shite.
I ain't falling for that datgum corndog trap this year neither. I'll be bringing my own. Can't believe they kept me in that cage for a full 20 minutes after I had finished the corndogs.

Billy Joe is kind of a Gump name. In Louisiana it might be John Paul Boudreaux. We aren't in-bred Scots Irish that train our daughters to crowd dive college students at bowl games we are losing to Big 10 teams. Rather, we are the consumate hosts, who take great pride in welcoming our redneck guests to our swampy State, and expect you to reciprocate.
And besides once stealing a bubble gum machine out of your campus police department, my crew has always been well-behaved in your quaint city.

When we hosted SC and seats were first come first serve, i never saw so many tap out shirts in seat back sections in my life. my entire section was happy Gilmore fans.

If this comes down to sidewalk fans:
Bama stacked; LSU fricked

It's that mindset that I'm not into. You just explained your identity by comparing it to us. Like Auburn does.
We don't do that. Probably because we are us, we're the best and everyone knows it. I've been to hundreds of games, home and away, big and small, good times and bad. I think our fans are pretty damn good, elite really, relatively speaking. We don't boo our own team. We don't all leave en masse when weather gets a little bad or we start losing. We get more nasty hateful shite talked to us than anybody from Michigan in Dallas to Texas in Pasadena, and we just nod and say ok buddy Roll Tide. Most importantly, as said, we're just Bama. We're not comparing ourselves all the time to that other trashy, redneck place to prove we're classier or less redneck or whatever possible superior aspect we can find. We just like being us. We know we have GOAT program, GOAT history, GOAT coaches, GOAT stadium, GOAT fans. It's good to be King. I like LSU. I like yall. Most of us like yall. Of course we'll be gracious, who's not gracious to their little brother?

There is nothing about Alabama Football culture that LSU aspires too. There is much about Alabama football culture (sense of proportion, misplacement of priorities) that we revile and teach to our children as cautionary tales. There is not a fan base in America more comfortable with it's identity or filled with more celebratory fun-loving people than LSU. In your heart you know that. I do not know if we will win or lose when we come to Tuscaloosa but we will be friendly and have fun. Try not to hang your balls on some college kid's mug, or unleash a barrage of expletives on some grandma from Mandeville, Gump.

quote:You don't know anything about Alabama Football culture. You know about a handful of rednecks who did redneck things and became internet memes. Do you really not understand that that is not a typical experience? At some point I wonder where the trolling crosses the line, and what people get so caught up in internet bullshite that they lose sight of reality. For example, I've lived here most all my life and have never met a cousin-marrying inbred person. Are we being real or not? Are you one of the people who actually goes to games and hangs out, and also posts on the internet, or are you just an internet loser?

You can do better than that.
Says the man whose program spends more time on the national news for Klan rallies and yearly ESPN installments of Wright Thompson's southern fried douchery (insert racism story here) than actual football news.
That better?
