Bama fans, how confident are you with the Mac attack?

Honestly, I’m interested to see if Bama goes back to the ground and pound style that got them where they are today. I hope they don’t, because it leaves room for other west schools to beat them throwing the ball around like that, but if they are dominant on the ground and rule the ToP then we may all be screwed this season.

The offense might depend on how good is the defense. If your defense can't consistently stop the other team from moving the ball and scoring a lot of points then a ball control run first offense probably won't win it all these days.

eta: Confident in Jones but if Bryce Young is good as advertised, then I won't be surprised if he's the starter by year's end

He tossed 14 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in 4 starts. The offense really didn't miss a beat when he was in there, so very confident

It can’t help Mac that they just lost their best WR to Mississippi State via grad transfer. They are going to miss Tyrell Shavers.

I think we'll be more balanced, but it won't be 2009 or anything.

Mac showed some promising signs, but it's still a little bit of an unknown. He proved down the stretch that at the very least he's a very serviceable option.

Mac has a far better arm than did Coker. And a quicker release.

Coker was a pitcher playing a QB.

I mean, I doubt he plays much right? Bama can’t risk him playing well enough, to where you don’t pull him. Otherwise they really think Bryce young going to wait on the bench for two seasons? Young is the starter after the USC game and they’ll go with a run game and RPOs and make it easy for young. Basically same thing they did with tua but more run.

I feel good about him. Good offensive line, run running attack. I think Mac will do good.

Correct, he threw 13 TDs/2 INTs specifically in those starts

Vs Michigan : 16/25, 327 yds, 3 TD/0 INT, 13.1 YPA

@ Auburn : 26/39, 335 yds, 4 TD/2 INT, 8.6 YPA

Vs WCU : 10/12, 275 yds, 3 TD/0 INT, 22.9 YPA

Vs Arkansas : 18/22, 275 yds, 3 TD/0 INT, 12.5 YPA

Total : 70/98 (71.4%), 1,212 yds (303 YPG), 12.4 YPA, 13 TD/2 INT

He was infuriating to watch at times, but flashed enough to think he can be the guy.

He’s good enough to look good in the games we should win going away. He has to show he can be elite if Bama is going to win championships this year because the other teams at that level will all have a QB who can go out and win you a game.

I think his career comes down to UGA. If he shows out against that defense he will be very difficult to bench and it’s downhill from there in terms of defenses until you talk SEC CG and potential playoffs.

If he struggles and the team loses I think Bryce Young sends him to the bench by mid season prior to LSU.

Cutty Sark can show him how to be elite, lol!

Elite is an inflatable love doll Saban bit on the tit. She flew out the 10th story window of his Santa Clara Marriott Suite and ain’t been seen since.

Clown George can make him Elite. Build him up with Barrett Sallee and CueBall Cubelic predictions in 2020.

Y’all dripping with confidence huh

shite Tuscaloosa, how many passes did he complete in Auburn with Derrick Brown straight up in his face? One for a TD while being pile driven.. I wasn't expecting him to get up from that one. Give that dude some slack.
