I understand. I've read all the drooling over Landon Collins. Alabama fans are hoping he can play in the box like Barron. Who knows? What really matters is who will be playing against Texas A&M and Ole Miss. One post in this thread said that the Alabama secondary should be fun to watch. I hope so. They didn't look great in the SEC Championship game.

They didn't look great a few times last year. Similar to the 2010 secondary. A lot of new blood, struggled at times, but came back to be the best in the country in 2011. Hopefully the same fate lies ahead for this secondary.

Was a stupid thing to say, JFF could tear Vinnie up in coverage if Vinnie can't cover deep (he should be better at it, and obviously he won't be on the Slot, but still), and he couldn't catch up to a Mett bullet pass. Collins/HaHa could out perform Barron/Lester in 11, and thanks to those two we gave up only 4.3 YPA from opposing QBs.

Congrats BAMA winning. You still live in a trailer. Also congrats getting VOTED into a BCSCG. one SEC though( which is won on the field). Can't get voted into the SECCG.

Yeah. He is just a flaming GUMP. He clearly lets a game , played by kids, determine his sense of self worth. Most gumps I know are good people.

He played only Money in 2011, and he really didn't even play it until the Auburn game. Auburn wasn't a fight, and then we had a long time to prepare for LSU.
In 2012 he was a liability at Star, but he also sucked it up at Safety at times. We will likely be much better against the pass with LC out there. Maybe we can win titles with Vinnie, but that is settling. The goal should always be unbeaten and dominance in every single game. We can't do that if Vinnie happens to suck covering as a Safety.

It remains what it is. No amount of re-direction can change the fact that BAMA got that LSU arse in early January of 2012.

Ok? Barron didn't get on the field either as a Freshman, so what? Vinnie was a coaches son and probably a suck up.

Saban went with experience over talent. If you really think Vinnie, who constantly showed his lack of athleticism to cover slots, can outperform LC at anything football related other than maybe run stopping and blitzing, I don't know what to say.

A few. Any great player has bad moments. Vinnie's moments were tackles. I'm not saying he'd be horrible as just a Safety/Money, he'd be good, but LC would be better as a Safety next to HCD.

No one should be satisfied with winning National Titles if it's in doubt. We lost the last two years, this past season we played too many close games, I don't care how good those teams were. A title isn't good enough if people have reason to doubt it. With the talent and coaching we have we should be blowing people out ala 2011 style, but in 2011 we did drop a game to another elite team. We can go over the reasons we lost and why we were truly a better team all we want, but the fact is we lost and that isn't acceptable, even if we still win a title. If just winning a title is seen as acceptable, then the players should just rest during the A&M game and dominate everyone else, because hey we can lose and still win a title! No, just no.

Having said that, GLAD LC is a part of the Tide. Also, hope to see him step up and contribute.
