I haven't seen Squidbillies, but I do know...

Driving in my truck.

Probably not, and most of the criticisms on Sunseri are highly exaggerated.

Depth at CB with the likes of Fulton and Jones will cut down on the 4 safety sets Bama had to run last year. And a better passrush won't force them to blitz 3/4 safeties to get to the QB. One of the biggest plays Sunseri is criticized for is getting beat man to man by a WR in a zone blitz against LSU in '12. They were blitzing every safety but him, and they didn't get there in time. The play wasn't called to last that long, and when it did, it shifted to the offense's favor.

Again, I think more bodies at CB are gonna help a lot...

For the sake of my blood pressure, I sure hope so.

Vinnie was exposed in pass coverage MANY times last season.

The only knock on LC coming out of high school was his physicality. I saw him play 4 times in high school and he was trucked at least once in every single game. He was such a freak athlete, he avoided hard contact because he could...most of the time.

Meh. Dude has been through 2012 Fall camp/2-a-days, the 2012 season, 2013 spring camp, 2013 summer workouts, and another fall camp. I think his "physicality" will suffice...

Collins will be starting safety, Sunseri plays on certain downs as extra back. Kind of the way our LBs do.

Na man. They are real. Vinnie is great running down hill but he does not have the change of direction needed to excel in coverage.

On STs last year and in mop up duty, he did the exact opposite.

Yeah. I've never heard that LC doesn't like contact. You can't play safety and not like contact.

Also, some of the biggest and baddest safeties on the planet get trucked. Look at Laron Landry. He is as big as any safety and he has been trucked.

The play that showcased LC's athleticism to me was in the BCSNC when the Notre Dame returner muffed the punt. Both he and LC were on the ground after the ball squirted out. LC popped up and got about four yards laterally chasing the ball before the other player even got off the turf.

Man, I can still see Georgia's TE running right past the guy and then dragging him another 10-12 yds. Brutal. Thank you C.J.

Since BAMA platoons players in and out in different defensive sets, I think both will see a lot of playing time. Collins has all the size and physical skills needed to be an great player. He has been said to have had trouble with the complicated Saban playbook, however.

He is still young and Saban asks his Safeties to do more than most defensive coaches.

Perhaps, but Barron and Lester both did just fine their first years as starters at safety and neither possessed the talent Collins has. We shall see.

Unbelievable! I haven't really payed attention to this guy, but I've heard this hype. Do Alabama faithful really think he can be as good if not better than the #7 2012 draft pick?

If L Collins does, Bama wins.

If V Sunerid does, Bama wins.

Doesn't really matter.

I was referring to early in their college careers. Barron is obviously better than Collins now.
