I don't believe LFU will be held to under a 100 yards. I do think they will hold him to 100-150 and that will be a win
Agreed.

quote:Nailed it. Will be a bloodbath in the trenches with two of the best DLs going against two of the best OLs, each with beast running backs. Difference may be that LSU does have some more power runners to spell Fournette, but has (at least up to this point) a slightly weaker secondary. JMO
I expect both Henry and LFU to run for about the same. The difference will be in which D can stop the other O from passing the ball. I think that will be the key. Both special teams are hot garbage so no need to even discuss that.
Can't get here quick enough.

Oh, are we playing LSU this weekend?
That's weird, I could've sworn our next opponent is from Tennessee...

Is there any history with LF and the Bama defense?

OK. So, whats your arbitrary number of rushing yards Fournette can have against Bama, yet Bama still win? You've piqued my interests.

LF gets 100 carries and gains 25 yards.
Bama D can NOT be run on!

Probably not at 25 carries, as that would mean he's having some success, and he's just too good to give that many opportunities to break a big one.

If we hold him to 150 we win. And yeah I think we'll do that. I think he's better than Nick Chubb was before he got hurt but not by a landslide and Chubb only had 60 yards before the last garbage TD of 83 yards on one play.
You may not remember the hit Reuben Foster put on his arse at the end of regulation last year. He trucked LF so bad it deflated your sidelines and energized ours. It gave us all the momentum in OT. I bet LF hasn't forgotten that hit.

Nope, and it won't matter if we don't turn the ball over. As long as he doesn't run wild on us--we should be fine. I'm guessing he goes for 146 on 32 carries or something like that. And unless Harris goes nuts and throws for 250+ and 2-3 TD's with no picks it won't matter. Ask Nick Chubb how much his 140 yard game helped his team.

No, but he will need to get more than just 100 yds to beat Bama.

You'll have to run him that much. But then again, I'm guessing, just like you.
I definitely believe the BAMA defensive line will be more than up for the task. They only allow 2.44 yards per rush and @ 77 yards per game. Pretty God damned stout.

Probably not. I'm more concerned about how many 3rd and longs we can force.

depends on Harris. He seems to be coming together at the perfect time.

What are you saying nope to?
I didn't mention turnovers.
I didn't ask about Harris.
Or Nick Chubb.
You stupid?

4 yards per carry or less yes, unless he busts a 50+ yard touchdown on us of course
Of course, most games he does bust a long one...almost every single one of the last several. Florida did a good job of holding him to 6 yards a carry though and not allowing a big one...but the thing with him is that EVERY SINGLE play he could go.....usually it's just a matter of time.
Also, last year he got 4 yards per carry against bama, without a passing threat, a less talented OL, and he himself wasn't near the rb he is now. So, there's that too.

I've been chatting with him in another thread. He's not the brightest crayon in the box.

Just curious, what were Florida's stats?

As long as he doesn't break off a long run, I think they can. Other than an 83 yard run at the end of the 3rd quarter, Bama did that to Chubb, and he's a better back that Fournette.

Well...how many runs do the Cubs need tonight to win? Nobody knows. However, I know they still have the ability to win if the Mets score 6 runs. That doesn't mean that they will win.
If LF gets above 150 I think Bama's chances at winning plummet. There are many factors involved. Who's to say that Henry doesn't go off for 150 of his own yards? If Henry get's 150, LSU's chances will plummet as well. All I was saying is that there are many more factors in that matchup than LF and the 100 yard mark.
