this. We might be buying refs but LSU is buying the NCAA. we need to be taking lessons

Auburn is #7 right now and pulling in top recruits from all over the country. We only have 22 recruits committed as of right now that count towards the 2010 class. Chizik will take more instate recruits next year and still use his ties from Texas and the rest of the SEC states.
And Alabama is going to stop recruiting?
Alabama has already landed two of the top ten for 2011, and leads for most of them. Not to mention the prospects influenced by the SEC championship.

I'm pretty sure Alabama fans aren't serious about Auburn buying recruits. I know LSU fans don't understand instate rivalries, but we trash each other with just about anything we can come up with.

For this year pretty much, Auburn gets to sign a lot more guys still. Considering it is 2009 and you are talking about 2011 recruits I am not worried, a lot will change between now and then.

Alabama will take six more.
2011 refers to next year's class.

Do you not understand that all fanbases .... including yours... have these douchebags?
Alabama: "Auburn is buying recruits!!!!"
Auburn: "Alabama cheats and always will!"
LSU: "The referees call games in favor of (whoever they're playing that week)!!!!"
Tennessee: "The other coaches are illegally stealing our recruits!"
Give us all a break and ignore this crap.

Why is Alabama bringing in so many more players? I thought they had to cut scholarships drastically last year because they were over by so many.
Not taking a Jab at Alabama here, I just don't know.

Alabama loses 19 seniors, and possibly two juniors. Alabama will sign 26-28, and some might greyshirt. You also have to expect attrition for various reasons (spare me the "cut" bullshite).

Not everyone makes the grades, historically.

Didn't figure the word "cut" would be such a sore spot

How is that comedy? Auburn is a bit of a racist redneck Mayberry. You have to pay some of these young men to want to stay in such a backward place

Auburn was among the first places to integrate their football program in the SEC, I seem to remember this guy throwing himself at the front doors at UAT.

Last year, I remember an Auburn coach's wife calling in to a radio show and saying the only way Auburn will beat Saban is to pay players like he does. It's strange how Auburn is suddenly getting all these top-end recruits.

The NCAA Committee on Infractions called the University of Alabama a "serial repeat violator" with an "abysmal infractions track record" and an "extensive recent history of infractions cases unmatched by any other member institution in the NCAA," in responding to the school's textbook appeal, according to documents released today.
Guess that just about sums it up.
SEC major infractions offenders
The SEC's major offenders and the number of their infractions/cases.

7 Auburn
6 Georgia
6 Kentucky
5 Alabama
5 Mississippi State
4 Arkansas

So you are saying AU needs to pay players to keep up with Bama? Maybe Chiz went out and got a staff of great recruiters so we DO NOT have to PAY players LIKE BAMA.
Just pointing that out for you.

The poster was saying a former Auburn assistant coach's wife called into Finebaum stating that Saban and Alabama did this.

Well, I think she added that tidbit just to take a shot at Alabama. She spent more time talking about Auburn boosters paying players in the past.

I think she was serious and well aware of bama buying players.
See how this works?
