It is common knowledge that Belichick is the coach in waiting.

Absolutely, look at his record at LSU. One could only imagine what he could do at Bama.

What LSU just can't grasp is the next coach is going to have a terrible time against Saban as well and that is what this is really about. Les Miles ain't Nick mfing Saban.

No I wouldn't. Good coach but the great ones adapt as times change. Miles is unwilling to make those changes.

Your desperation to get Bama fans to see this as a smart move is weird. Why do any of you care what we think of your coaching moves? Stop trying to justify letting your head coach go to us. It's unbecoming.

Les is the second best coach in the SEC. Y'all want him fired because he ain't Saban. Just face it. That is what the positiger line against the negatigers has been for years and it is the truth. Now I know y'all can't possibly admit that, but it's true.

Mike Shula won 10 games in a season.
Mike Dubose won the SEC.

Could two of the worst coaches in LSU history do that?

Do you want more proof?

Gene Stallings, who wasn't the most successful coach before arriving in Tuscaloosa, won a NC and had Bama rolling in the early 90's.

Yes. He's an elite recruiter and while not nearly as dominant as Saban, could win us a natty before he retires in a few years.

Bingo, L5U officials/big money guys have even said this as it has been reported and was discussed today on xm radio. One of,the main reasons for wanting him gone is 5 in a row to Bama. They've been watching Bama best them during one of their greatest periods. They won't admit it on here but it is true. Bama envy has consumed them to the point they're willing to shite on one of their best coaches ever, this lynch mob is pathetic. They are tied for the best record vs Bama since 08, 2-6, tied with Au and OM. Those are the only 3 SECW teams with more than 1 win vs Bama during this dynasty run from 08 to present. MSU, Ark, UT have 0 wins. TAMU has 1 but they've only been sec since 12.

It's obvious to anyone who has followed L5U and Bama since Bama hired Saban. They truly want to believe that this is not the reason they are shitting all over Miles and that the entire college football world doesn't know this is why they are shitting right in the face of its programs winningest coach. It's pathetic and it will back fire on them so bad.

Good points.

Bama envy has consumed the entire program and fan base to the point where nothing else matters. They feel it should be L5U that is having the success that Bama is having now. The deserve it, you know, becuase they had Saban first. The lack of respect and appreciation being shown to Les is pathetic. He is, after all, the winningest coach in Lsu history. Saban used them as a stepping stone to get to the top. Les has always believed L5U is the top and has been loyal even with them constantly criticising his every move by comparing to what Saban would have done. What they don't realize, well won't admit is that Saban at Bama is >>>>> greater than what Saban at L5u could've been. Bama would still have been as dominant vs L5u these past years no matter the coach. Plus, all the experienced great coaches are locked up at programs as good or better than L5u and would have no real incentive to make a lateral or downward move. Plus, add in the odd fan base with unrealistic expectations that are lynch mobbing a very respected, succesfull coach. Uh no thanks. Plus, there isn't a L5U equivalent to Harbough for Michigan. I don't know if any L5U alum that is coaching at an elite level, college or pro.

They want to gamble with an up and comer who will try to change them from a powerful smashmouth team to a fast paced finese spread team so they can look good on offense. Watch them struggle for the next 5 years as their defense goes soft like B12 teams. 10 in a row and another fired coach. It will be awesome to watch.

Their expectations are just fricking retarded. Everyone knew next year was supposed to be their year anyway, now they want to frick that up. If I were booger I would transfer.

Hell no.

Great dude. Not a great coach. It would be a maddening switch. Polar opposite styles.

They have this delusion that they're equally as talented as Bama and much more talented than the rest of the SEC. Well that's just not true. Plus they have an extremely young team. Here are the SEC team totals. Bama stands alone at the top by a huge margin.

Yes, L5U is 2nd but if you look at the numbers without bias you will see they are actually 4th based on average player rank 88.6, below Au and UGA. They are tied with OM at 5th for 5* players. Reality is they're having a great year considering the talent. Victim of their own success when all those players have left earlier.
