Bama basketball recruiting...

Hey Bama fans...In recent days, Bama basketball recruiting has heated up quite a bit. Luke Cothron has recently decommitted from NC State and everyone seems to be optimistic that we may land top JUCO big man Ricardo Ratliff.
Arkansas seems to be the team to beat for Ratliff. The coaching situation with Pel seems to be something that may be in our favor. RR liked both visits to Arky and Bama. The wait is on for Ratliff to announce.
Things are looking up for Alabama basketball and it begins with this upcoming class. With a true point in Trevor Releford and solid 2 guard Hankerson coming in, wrapping up the class with Ratliff would be incredible.....but wrapping is up with both Cothron AND Ratliff would make us an almost immediate contender in the SEC.

I saw that on the ESPN crawl a few days ago. It said he was a top 50 player but never mentioned his postion. What position does he project at in college? Grant really seems to be doing a heck of a job getting you guys back on track.

I agree but Cothron is from NC and Ratliff is in FLA by way of VA.

Ratliffe has been on our campus quite a bit lately ... Plays juco about 20 min outside Gainesville

Ive heard that if Kentucky wants Cothern they get him, and if they dont he more than likely is Bama bound. The bad thing about this kid is that he will come with some baggage.

I'd be thrilled with getting those guys but there would still be big questions, RedElephants starting lineup would be an epically bad outside shooting team. Not that I'd necessarily change it. But Charvez is just gonna have to play more minutes, sort the defense out cause we need his shooting.

At one time we were just waiting for RR to commit...It seems he is not the Arky lean many thought he was at one time...

there's an article on Ratliffe on rivals but its one of those "whispers" articles and I'm not a member. Oh well, he signs or he doesn't. Our back up plan could be some dude named Majok Majok who has an offer from Harvard and, well, yeah just Harvard.
