Saban knows this isn't the year. He is going to go with the younger more mobile QB and give him the experience to try to make another title run in a few years. It's a great HC decision considering the question marks at QB all over the roster.

Name one season since 2008 where Bama went into the season without realistic national title hopes? Bama does not "build for next year."

You really going to start with that creepy "daddy" shite in this thread?

Go to the Aggie board if you want to find the Bears.

The "daddy" stuff is definitely one of the weirder things on this board.

It's either because they're the biggest backwood country arse hicks or GAF, I'm assuming.

Im wondering if this kid reminds the Bammer fans of Russel Wilson because he maybe shorter; I love that comparison btw. Reminds them of one of the elite QBs in the NFL.

He does not remind me of anyone. I have never seen him play.

What does excite me is the fact that every reporter attending practice continually keeps mentioning him as one of the most impressive offensive playmakers on the field. Bama has not had people talk about one of our QB's like that in a long time.

Hurts is not short. He's 6'2" and about 220. People are making the Russell Wilson comparison because he runs away from trouble very smoothly like he's gliding and he's always looking downfield to see if someone comes open. If you aren't a Bama fan, these comparisons should be giving your DC heartburn.

Why because phil4bama on tigerdroppings said he reminded him of Russel Wilson?

Yeah, getting the pepto as I'm typing this.

I'm just glad you guys figured out between the guy who lost the OM game for you last year, the surfer's wife, and the true freshman QB.

You need to get a leader, someone to rally around, best to just nip it in the bud, and choose the guy.

We, as LSU fans, know how damaging a 2-QB system can be. Better to not let it linger like a cancer. Can't wait to see him in BR this year!

Careful what you say. The QBs on your roster can't beat out a true freshman. shite can get problematic quick.

Bateman just kind of has a sissy demeanor to me. There's no cockiness or arrogance about him. Just seems too aww shucks to me. The kid is from Utah so that's to be expected. Great athlete but he just seems like a pussy to me, and that's not the guy you want leading a roster full of alpha dog savages

This x infinity.

Plus the fact he has the arm of a pee wee QB.

You just used logic on Gumps. It's like using tuning fork to cut down a tree. Good luck with that.

No, He will have a package but will not start. Cooper Bateman will be the quarterback. First, nobody and I mean nobody gets that kind of information from Saban. Second, the press last year all but named cornwell the starter during camp. When's the last time u saw him play?

Nobody listen to this idiot.

Cajun, it scares the shite out of them, as it should. If Hurts is good enough to start as a TF then they know they're fricked for next several years.

They will try to spin it as the other guys aren't any good Hut that's just not true. A lot of talented prospects on the roster. It would mean Hurts is a phenom and that should scare the rest of the SEC.

Personally, I think it will be Barnette at first with Hurts getting PT throughout the ggame.Eventually one will pull away and win the team.

Bama is so freaking stacked at every position it's sick. If Hurts has that "it" factor then look the frick out, gonna be a some beat downs and the streak will get to 6,7,8+

Can't Wait!
