What will it take this year for the refs to call holding penalties on the great BAMA??
My first thought is to out pay BAMA...

So you have 6 post... Try harder....
Short Answer: Everybody holds, Bama has the Michael Jordan affect and does not get called for it. Part of the process.

agree. Had he somehow managed to work scheduling or SEC office in Bham into his post it would've been a rare triple verification, but getting in Refs and Rec (pay claims) still is enough for us to authenticate.

We've been last or in the bottom five nationally for opponent's penalties just about every year since CNS arrived.
Teams that avg 85-90 yds a game magically drop down to 30 yds when they play us.
REC needs to get on top of this.

Not sure about holding but Bama was called for more penalties per game than LSU in 2016.
LINK
LSU
12 games
58 penalties
492 yards
4.8 penalties per game
41.0 yards per game
Bama
Alabama
15 games
86 penalties
660 yards
5.7 penalties per game
44.0 yards per game

Well in that case it looks like 7 will most certainly happen.

They seem to have the benefit of getting noncalled holds when the game is on the line. With out a doubt they would not have a couple of their championships if the game was called evenly. Just saying...

Holding was the difference in 37-24, 21-0, or 42-14 wins?

It's not how many penalties, it's the timing of when they aren't called.

This is a myth that has been busted over and over again. Bama's opponents were penalized less than anyone else in the country by a wide margin last year, and I believe our opponents had 3 holding calls go against them all year. Clemson didn't have a single penalty called on their offense in 99 plays during the championship game. Not one hold, block in the back, etc... in 99 plays against one of the best front 7s in college football history.
Let that sink in.

Bama's oppenents were the least penalized in the entire country, and it wasn't even close. That's all you need to know.

does not disprove his statement at all.

It's amazing how many people overlook this. Anyone who complains about Bama getting favorable calls needs to read this and STFU.

This has been discussed ad nauseum. Please stop or just kill yourself right now.....You can find holding on just about any offensive play......game last year is over. LSU did not score enough points....Bama did.

It disproves the shite out of this statement:

In fact, if games were called "evenly" - and Bama's opponents were called for as many penalties as Bama, we'd probably have a couple more than we do.

I tried telling these guys this last night.
Citing opponents penalties per game doesn't address the argument that Bama benefits from bad officiating.
But hey, whatever. Alabama wins the games.

I knew the reaction I was going to get before I even posted this thread.. lol
I guess BAMA faithful cling to their football in fear of being pitiful at everything else in life.
Pretty sure they are also butt hurt about no being able to eat corn on the cob at the local fair (gotta have front teeth for that one)...
