Oh, don't get me wrong. The misery of Bama is usually music to my ears. In this case, however, I will make an exception. Bama should be borderlinish top 25 program most years.

They have a good recruiting base. No great shortage of money. Fans that will come out and support a decent team. Those are the sort of things you want in a team that is in the running for a NCAA at large bid.

I think the Tide will get back there, sooner rather then later, but it will probably take some recruiting classes for that to happen. As for losing this kid... well sometimes you have to hit the bottom to start building back up to the top.

As long as they aren't playing us I wish Bama basketball the best.

See, that's what happens when your new coach comes in, looks around, and realizes the old coach was still recruiting Atlantic 10 caliber players and trying to play in the SEC. Grant never left VCU in his mind. Avery is doing what he has to do. We will have lots of ships to hand out to more talented players.

Would not be surprised to see Bama finish dead last in the sec this year. Would be shocked if they beat AU once.

Alabama will be fine. He's already created a ton of positive energy and basketball won't be boring for a change. I think the NIT is a solid goal for year one. Decent talent left behind and he's added some great pieces. He has a very good staff to work with as well.

I know the fans are happy about a change but is there still enough talent. Granted I could not name a single player on bamas roster, but from what I've seen here a lot of guys have left. Did they all suck?

My opinion is malleable here as I don't follow Bama hoops.

I just don't think avery is an especially good coach and will have to get superior talent to win.
