You may be right. He's good but we'll have to see how he does the next 2 years before we compare him to Harvin.

True that. What it boils down to.. even if talent levels are the same.. Auburn doesn't have Jesus in cleats lined up next to Fannin in the gun.

It will depend on Todd. If he's making throws this year than I would expect them to be much better. Malzahn could be an offense genius but if you lack quality Qb play than he's limited. WR, RB should improve. Oline needs to stay healthy.

Don't they only have something like 6 scholarship o-linemen right now? That is a disaster waiting to happen.

I don't know exactly how many are on scholarship but it sounds as though the quality behind the starters isn't what you would want in case of injuries. UT is in the same boat as well.

It was posted, with a link, a while back that after 3 seasons, 3 conference championship games, and 3 bowls, Gus's offense has thrown the ball a grand total of one (1) less time than he has run it.

That's a lot of pass attempts, especially considering one of those years was with Mcfadden, Jones, Smith, and Hillis as a backfield.

That's incorrect... you may be thinking of LBs.

The 5 starters are on scholly... McCain, Ziemba, Pugh, Berry, Isom.

Backups... V. Smith, B. Eddins, A. Harris, J. Sullen, AJ Greene.

Also in the backups but certain to redshirt... Aubrey Phillips, who was present at Sat.'s scrimmage but not dressed out. I think the coaches are optimistic of him returning to the team healthy.

Bama's offense last season was not prolific it was anchored by its offensive line that was able to help Bama average nearly 6 yards on first down. Beyond that Bama never had a strong offense last season, it will get better as it has better receivers and a deep threat QB.

My point was that you don't need a great offense to win games but you do need a consistent one.

I agree. We also tended to go conservative after running out to decent leads...see Clemson, UGA, Ole Miss, Kentcky. Hopefully, we won't be doing that this year, assuming we get some of those early leads.

you're expecting to improve by 47 spots on offense with no proven QB, no depth on the Oline.. receivers that yall are having to teach fundamentals to, and you want to call me delusional for pointing out that?

Do u watch CFB outside of Bama? If you did you'd know Navy puts yds up against everybody they play. Only two teams outgained Tulsa/Malzahn last year, guess which team was one of them.
