So you've actually witnessed this? So they just have a fire sale for premium tickets if x players family isn't going to use them? Somehow I doubt the general public ever sees those tickets.

I have audited procedures over student guest tickets, yes. All schools (that I have audited) have very specific procedures over student guest, coach passes, etc tickets and how to proceed with unused ones. It's a huge deal because of the NCAA implications. This is not the same as that. And most have pre-approved charities that they donate them to and if there are still leftovers they are put online for sale and then sold at the gate if still available on Gameday.

And most places have procedures for non-season ticket sales online and then at the gate. It's an industry standard.

And I am sure Auburn has similar systems in place and in writing, but I have to imagine if they were and were implemented they would shown that to the reports and there wouldn't have been a story.

So you work for an audit firm that audits multiple schools' ticket offices? That's a lot of procedure to comply with in such a short amount of time.

We do numerous athletic foundation audits, yes. And ticket procedures is always one of largest risk areas due to the inherent risk of fraud that presents itself in situations just like the one described in the article.

It really isn't a lot of procedure, it's just knowing the process for certain situations and following it. Places have unused tickets every week that in total for a season come to a pretty large monetary value, so it's a pretty important system to have in place and follow.

I'm not suggesting fraud happened here, it's just never a good idea to open yourself up to the possibility of fraud in reality or appearance.

Despite running this deficit, Auburn is about to drop to some major coin to improve their facilities in football according to rumors on almost every Auburn message board. The planning and funding for these things are supposedly already underway, but a public announcement wont be made until the offseason

What time were you and your wife coming over to do my yard work? I want to make sure to be back from the yacht club to get you paid. If I am late just ask my son for the 75.00 and I will pay him back later. Thanks

Please tell your wife to stop wearing the spandex it scares the shite out of the neighbors.
