And you should be. We all love our teams. But don't act like its a foregone conclusion that BB wins at Arky. The SEC West is brutal and if he doesn't start recruiting better, he will be toast. This isn't the Big 10.

Never said it was a foregone conclusion he would win. Same could be said about Gus. Auburn is still sitting at 3rd in the west at best. BB is recruiting better. Pulled some great kids that wouldn't have given us a second look. Was on the top 25 last I looked. That's better than the last 2 ever did.

Auburn is 2nd and Arkansas is last. Even with his class ranked where it is they are still behind most of their competition. Which is what matters.

but one does have a better resume as a head coach then the other.

Gus won the Sun Belt. 2Bs won the Big10

Sounds like a pretty similar resume to me

Oh ya, 2Bs got curb stomped annually in the Rose Bowl. Forgot about that

If your class is 25th in the country, it's probably 12th in the SEC...

No...not even close. Stop with homerism. Sorry, 2nd in the west. So your the first loser at best. As far as the Hogs being last, isn't that where we were picked to be this year.

Oh, you're right, Bielema managed to limp into the conference championship game with a 7-5 record.

Winning the Sun Belt may not be on par with winning the Big 10 but it isn't as different as you believe. There is a reason why the Big 10 leader who hasn't lost in two years now isn't even being in BCS NC discussion without losses ahead of them and outside the top 3 teams.

2Bs track record isn't nearly what Arkansas fans make it out to be

So 3 conference championships in a row, regardless how he got the last one, from arguably the second best conference is close to winning one in maybe the 7th best league with someone elses players. Dont think so. I'm not trying to make his record more than it is. Its people like you who continue to downplay what he did. He's a very good coach. People just talk shite about him because he is Arkansas coach.

No offense, old man, but that is really dumb

As someone who has watched every Auburn game since Gene was hired, this team is way better coached than any Chizik team

Same players that Chizik had but if you watch our defense compared to last year it is shocking how ridiculously much better they are

ETA I'm talking discipline, composure, big play ability, fundamentals, etc

Underrated Gus Malzahn moment: Auburn @ South Carolina 2011. Malzahn and a clever rushing attack manufactured a win in Columbia over a far superior USCe team.

This is why Cam is the GOAT. Despite Chiziks best efforts, Cam won without any NFL talent around him.

I agree with this. I think it's early to say how good Gus is, but I also am always dubious when people tell me that a coordinators offense is great when he has an elite dual-threat quarterback. Those guys could make a lot of people look like geniuses.

As I said, Gus is more about trying to catch you with your pants down than lining up and executing.

Gus sends wrong film to Ark.

Is there some sort of bat signal that Alabama fans get anytime there is an Auburn thread anywhere on the internet?

Auburn's '09 offense set almost every school record with a living statue at QB. Nick Marshall, while getting better, isn't anywhere close to "elite" and the offense is outpacing even the 2010 team's in some categories. Just saying.
