Why is it snowing in that photo? It literally never snowed in Auburn my whole four years of undergraduate. Just interesting to see Samford Hall like that.

It's probably from the storm about 2 years ago.

How can I get a down vote for asking the following:

Does Auburn have a school of medicine? How about a school of law? engineering? architecture?

I am uncertain, so asking what are the major fields that are offered at the university?

Still awaiting answers if anyone wishes to share the information

Thanks Genro....also can add a school of pharmacy. I don't think the University of Alabama has a school of pharmacy, think I recall kids going to Samford if they were Tide fans.

But, how can Auburn be ranked ahead of UA when they do not have schools of medicine or law.

I have no dog in this fight, but that makes no sense

I do stand corrected. Apparently they recently added a school of osteopathic medicine. D.O.'s

I believe one of the Troy branches, Dothan, also has an osteopathic school.

The only true med schools are in the UA and USA systems

Why are they a "true med school"?

You have a medical school that doesn't produce "medical doctors"

As has been said in many a thread like this by rational non-idiots, Alabama and Auburn both have certain things that they do very well.

Alabama has a very good accounting, nursing, communications and law school while Auburn has a very good engineering, forestry, architecture, and other programs. In addition to those, both schools have solid majors in their non-best areas.

You can get a very good engineering degree at Alabama and you can get a very good accounting degree at Auburn.

To be such a poor, low ranking state, kids in Alabama have 2 very good big public school options, and that doesn't even count UAB or UAH, which also have some very well respected programs.

Why are we talking about medical schools on a sports forum. Auburn athletics is a joke, and Alabama is the best football program in the history of the sport. Deal with it.

Well it's a different philosophy on medicine, run by a different board.

D.O. schools are easier to get into, and though DO's have the same rights as medical doctors they are not as highly regarded and are much more likely to be relegated to home health, urgent care, etc. You're not going to find very many DO's in the Mayo Clinic or researching cancer treatments

Forbes lists LSU ahead of Bama and Auburn. List is complete shite.

US News & World Report is the standard, and they've had Bama ranked ahead of Auburn for quite some time.
