I realistically don't see us winning. Bama will play their best game against us.

Bama can't just show up in JHS, give a half effort, and stroll out with a victory. The unspoken secret is that Auburn is a pretty good football team.
Don't be scared of Bama. Auburn has a decent shot of beating them.

Meh. We dominated UGA until the last 8 minutes of the game. Took our foot off the gas, lost Mo, and had to fight back. Great lesson for our team IMO.

Nobody has rushed all over Bama for 6 years.
The rare Alabama loss over the past 6 seasons has been largely due in part to the opposing QB having an incredible day passing the ball.

I believe his point was that the current undefeated teams have basically ran the train on their mediocre opponents while auburn has fought and clawed to close victories over their mediocre opponents. Please don't pretend like auburn has been in the same realm of dominance as alabama has this year.

Maybe not, but Auburn at the start of the season wasn't hitting on all cylinders either.
We might lose. Bama might lose. I don't either team will give up like LSU did against Bama.

Bama's game against MSU = dominance
But let's just say we aren't. Auburn is still closer to Bama in terms of performance than many Bama fans are comfortable with, particularly in such a short timeframe.

Alabama played terribly and won by two touchdowns and the game was never in doubt. Thanks for proving my point

Game was never in doubt because MSU has no QB, among other things. Bama tried to give that game away and a team with half a pulse would have beaten them.

I haven't read any of this thread but this seems to be a good a place as any....
I'm curious as to what Malzahn's game plan will be. Will Malzahn do what he does best and run, run, run? Or will he put the ball in Marshall's hands and have a passing attack to surprise Bama's defense? What's his personality?
Typically a self confident (or should i say, "team confident"?) coach will just say, to hell with subterfuge, I'm doing what we do best and if they stop it, so be it. I really hope that is what he does. If he comes out throwing though, I actually think AU can go up quick on us like A&M and have us on our heels not knowing what will come next. That would be much harder to defend...provided Marshall gets off to a hot start. I really think Malzahn can get his first few series planned out over the next two weeks and practiced over and over so Marshall feels confident in the plays. Alabama of course will be in a base run safe type defense. The play action to start the game will absolutely burn us if our corners can't cover man to man.

Alabama will be in their 2009 tebow defense IMO. Mobile qb with questionable passing. The questions to ask are:
Is the bredth of the AU run game enough to open up the pass, and can Marshall take advantage?
Simply, Marshall will have to have a very good game. QB's having a good game seems to be a common requirement against Alabama-Saban teams, and it makes sense when you think about it: not many schools have elite quarterbacks. Good game plan from UA.
