WAS being the key word in that statement. It is a new year and so far the acc is 0-3 vs SEC.

Well I only mentioned the last two seasons smart one

Meanwhile, Oklahoma had an easy win vs Auburn. A Oklahoma team Clemson has dominated twice recently

Yeah, the starting QB playing with a broken arm didn't have anything to do with that.

Yeah, you're right. A weak arse ACC schedule.

God I get so sick of seeing crap like this.

Clemson played the toughest schedule in college football last year. Defeated teams ranked #1, #2 & #3. Of our 12 regular-season opponents, 10 played in bowl games. Six of our opponents finished in the final AP Top 25, & three in the final Top 10. Though I'd admit that it has no bearing on where we are right now in 2017, in 2016 the ACC was the best conference in college football; the numbers back it up.

Our wideouts have not been given the chance to be consistent, but they've all made some huge plays. Kyle Davis, Darius Slayton, Nate Craig-Myers, Eli Stove, and Ryan Davis have all had huge moments that have proven their skills.

He broke his arm during the game. A big 12 linebacker crushed him. Thought Auburn would be tougher than that. Baker Mayfield threw for around 300 yrds as well

FWIW, GSU is a much worse team this year than they have been historically. Ask their fans (several GSU alum friends/family). Referring to the Florida game, takes you back I believe to when they were still a triple option team. They run a different scheme now and really have struggled to be effective running the ball.

Yea, I agree. Their defense played well but the offense was terrible. The new QB never got anything going. We put a lot of pressure on him but he just looked lost all day. We stacked the hell out of the box and he just could not do anything about it

I will be interested to see how our front 7 play this week when we cant just pin our ears back and rush like hell

You would have to go back quite a few years to find a Clemson team that didn't have game changing talent at the wr position. I don't think it is a stretch to assume they are going to be equally as talented there again this year.

You're vastly underrating Auburn's WRs and DBs. Hopefully your coaching staff is as arrogant as you are. If so, that will be where we win the game

I personally told Dabo not to worry about Auburn's WRs or DBs. He was really happy, because they were a little worried, but now they're going to vastly underrate them.

You're dumb.

No one knows how this game is going to go. There's too many questions for both teams - lets see how it plays out.

This thread is one big dick measuring competition

I don't know why SEC fans are believing the AU hype. Clemson is a legit NC contender. If Auburn improves greatly from last year they'll be 9-3.

Auburn was a top 10 team last year while Sean White was healthy, bro.

If AU wins, we will vault into the top 10, rightly or wrongly. If we lose, then it will continue the saga of the SEC is just UA and everyone else.

I hope we win, but I am not sure what Clemson brings to the table this year. Should be a good game.

before the season, all anyone on here would say about Clemson is how they lost Deshaun and won't be as good.

Now they whip Kent's arse and the script has changed.

I always thought they would be good again, but don't you backtrack now.

Yup. I mean, I'm saying the same thing about us. I don't know that I know a *lot* about our defense yet either. The starters certainly man handled App State pretty well, but thanks to some shitty interceptions by Brice Ramsey, I didn't really get to see how the second team would hold up to a sustained drive. Looking forward to see how the starters hold up against one of the better OLs we'll face this season in ND.

Trying to read too much into week 1 games against non P5 opponents is an exercise in futility. Hell, sometimes so are the games against P5 teams... Week 4-5 generally gives you a much better idea of what you've got in your team, as you'll generally have at least played 2-3 non-cupcake teams by then.
