OL is a toss up IMO. We have 4 of 5 back, Mitch Hyatt will be a top 10 pick and Tyrone Crowder is All ACC.

hard to say because of the competition, but AU's oline struggled more than Clemson's did. I think Clemson has the better oline.

I am not going to comment on Clemsons because I did not watch their game but our Oline play was not that bad. Stidham held the ball too long on some instances and broke out of the pocket at times. I believe it is more of a meshing issue and not bad Oline play.

Our line should be OK. We will see if Jarrett can shake off the rust though

I didn't mean to imply that it is bad, but there was some miscues according to Gus, is all I meant.I heard both coaches on the radio today and that is what i am going by.

Pretty much the same Oline as last year. Not sure if they are good or Watson's 6th sense made them look better. Either way another year can only help. Bryant just has to keep looking upfield like Watson always did and not take off and run. If he panics and takes off, it plays into AU's hands. My 2 cents.

The Kent State walk on DLs could have been blocked by Clemson's cheer leading squad.

I was more concerned with pass pro. TV commentators said this year CL implemented a "slide protection" in passing situations which AU didn't have in previous years. If JS doesn't have time to throw the ball (here comes captain obvious) then AU becomes very one dimensional.

Maybe, but one coach was a little critical of his O line and the other coach praised his. Gus also said that Stidham can not hold on to the ball so long, but was pleased with his performance considering he hasn't played in so long. He said it twice, actually.

Don't believe it. Gus usually says something along the lines of: "We have things to work on. Love our energy. Injuries are day to day. We have guys with energy. Lot of tempo during practice. Energy. Everyday is an opportunity. Waffle House. Energy."

What time is the game and why did they remove the little clicker from last year where you could see the current weeks games and times etc?

ETA: 6 pm the Lord's time I see, I bookmarked the espn page so I won't be asking this type of question again.

I know what you mean, offenses are always a work in progress in the beginning of the year, nobody goes out in week 1 and plays perfectly. I saw AU's line run block well, and the only time they didn't pass block was when somebody missed a block, I suspect that will be fixed this weekend. Especially since Gus seems well aware of it. It was a blocking scheme confusion thing, not a getting beat thing. So it is much easier to fix. I am leaning to AU in a low scoring game right now. But I don't know man, neither team really played anybody.

on paper maybe but they pretty much looked like hammered dog shite against a much weaker opponent. other than that pretty solid analysis. if we learn our blocking assignments game on, if we block like we did last week gonna be a long night for Stidham.

this is one of the harder picks in a while. Not only is it early, I think Clemson and AU could both be really really good for the remainder of the year, but how do they match up in this one? I wouldn't touch this game betting at all. Saturday can't get here soon enough.

I also didn't realize until this past weekend that Clemson returned all their starters on the OL. Don't even need to mention their DL cuz it is fricking scary. The battle in the trenches in this game will be one for the ages. I wanna see Braden Smith and Dexter Lawrence go up against each other

WR - Toss up. Clemson keeps play makers at this position and Auburn has been able to load up on back in the 2016 class. Although they were nothing stellar last season due to Sean White's gimpy shoulder, Auburn's WRs have a chance to prove themselves deadly with Stidham at the helm. If Bryant proves himself to be a Watson clone like Clemson faithful think, lord help us all.

Lolololol at Auburn's WRs being a toss-up with Clemson. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read. Clemson returns a 5 star freakazoid in Cain, the best slot WR in the nation in Renfrow (remember him torching your D two years in a row), and endless other freakazoids including multiple 6'4+ studs.

OL - Auburn. No real discussion needed. They have the returning starters and the experience. Clemson's looked to be very solid(from what I saw) on Saturday. The true battle is OL vs DL. I think that in itself is a toss up.

Again, wtf are you taking about? Have you seen Auburn's tackles? They have potential, but they are beyond green. Clemson is gonna destroy them this weekend. There were numerous articles written about Clemson having the best OL in the country. This is easily an edge to Clemson.

I'd give the edge to Auburn on LB and maybe slight edge at QB as well. Our DBs are good but really unproven so Auburn could have the edge there as well.

This one is a toss-up. It's really hard to tell what each team has after week one. Each team has stout DL's. Each team has a new QB. Clemson has an edge with some groups and Auburn with others. Like was already said, I think it will boil down to turnovers.

Lets not act like GSU is some scrub team. They lost to Ole miss last year by 10. They beat Florida at Florida a few years back. In 2011 they broke Bama's 100 yd rusher streak and ran for 300 on the same Bama defense that shutout LSU in the Nat'l Championship game.
