hmm. Seems that 7 SEC teams have fewer penalties than Alabama. Auburn has fewer of all teams except one.
What were you saying?

Yes, the offense struggled during the 1st half missing the starting QB. It's a shocker, I know. It's uncommon for teams to not be effective missing the starting QB.

Do you really think this disproves his statement?

The other Auburn fan didn't answer after advising us that the regular starting qb was hurt and didn't start the game, so maybe you'll know. Why did your coach play an injured player?

Without the refs Vandy kicks yalls arse and Bama wins the west uncontested dipshit.

Without the refs, I'd bet our players would literally beat the hell of them.

Proof? You want proof on a message board? How about proof of his silly contention that without the refs, Alabama would have lost 3 or 4 games. This, in spite of the fact that according to the penalty stats, at least 7 other SEC teams seem to be more favored by the officials.
Most half assed intelligent men would reason that if 7 other teams have fewer penalties, then there must not be much of a conspiracy to help out the #8 team. I am sure I could find the stats that show Alabama opponents have fewer penalties than Alabama, head to head, but I am not so inclined right now.
edit: Oh yeah. Could you tell me why your coach played an injured QB?

This thread has "I'm scared of Auburn" written all over it. Pretty sad.

Not really, I just found it funny you provided that as contradiction to his statement, since it does nothing to do that...

Kind of like your silly contentions here, right?

again, your stat doesnt disprove anything he stated, its cute you continue to think it does

except for the fact that the stat doesnt prove or disprove the theory. Maybe you should half arse some logic into this...

Surely you aren't actually stupid enough to think raw "penalties against" data proves a bias. The only "proof" would be from an independent and unbiased review panel (or even if you could get ahold of the review information schools send to and receive from the SEC offices about questionable calls) that tracks how often teams commit penalties that are not called. Those stats do not exist to my knowledge. If a team commits the most penalty-worthy acts and has the 8th most penalties called against them, they are certainly more benefited by either ref incompetence or bias than a team who has committed less penalty-worthy acts but are called on a higher percentage of them.

All that bluster and you still haven't answered my question as to why your coach played an injured QB
edit: You're the 3rd Auburn fan to ignore this question, though one of your own posters was the first to mention it.

Because "not feeling 100%" means a player should never play, right?

All indications are he brused his shoulder vs Ole Miss. Nothing structural. So getting some rest before our two largest rivals, and games with division and national title implications was the right strategic move. Wish he could have set out the entire game, but we don't have a back up QB. If SW and Pett are hurt, it doesn't matter because the guys behind them have proven they can't play at a high level. It doesn't change my orginal point that assuming they are healthy, AU is a huge match up problem for Bama. Saban has never beat a good AU team lead by Gus.

Not feeling 100% may be a cold, an upset stomach, a really bad boil on your arse.
It was the Auburn fan that said the guy didn't start because he was injured. If he was injured badly enough not to start the game, why did the coach play him at all?

Because when you are at 80% with an easier opponent, you rest players to get them healthy for the next opponent. When your backup isn't producing like he needs to be you sometimes have to put the 80% guy out there to secure the win. It's not like Gus was playing him with a broke leg, just a sore shoulder.
