When did Bham get a bowl?
Must be awful.
Must be awful.

Florida was just there in 2015 (Jan 3) against East Carolina.

He's not a real fan. Why would he know where his "teams" bowl game is
Posted on 12/10/15 at 6:40 am to Mister Tee
Wasn't the allotment like 8,000 tickets?

He's really a Vol, which would explain why he doesn't know much about the last decade of bowl history.

I'd hope they could sell out Legion; they only allow around 50k max these days.

Gotta watch out for that Legion Field early morning dew, shite gets nasty.

That's what I am thinking, plus - Memphis, just 2.5 hours away and a chance to beat a 2nd SEC team (a traditional power no less) in one year?
if THIS game does not sell out, the Bham Bowl never will (unless Bham gets a new stadium to share w UAB)
Hell, I may go to this game, looks like an interesting matchup, if there are tix available, I probably will take my son
Aubie really needs to win this one...

We will never play in Legion Field again - Patrick Fain Dye

What's the deal with using the full names? Is it supposed to be a slight of some sort? I've seen it with you guys and Dye, Eugene Chizik, Gustav etc.
Why wouldn't you just use the name they go by? I've never seen an Auburn fan use Nicholas Saban before?
Just wondering about this strange behavior.

We will never play in Legion Field again - Patrick Fain Dye
Dye said. "But I knew the disadvantage we had in doing that. I never wanted to make an issue of it because I knew that was the way it was going to be through 1988. Really, I didn't have to play the '91 game in Birmingham, when it was our home game. I really did it for the City of Birmingham because I didn't want them to think we didn't like Birmingham. It was the fact we just liked playing in Auburn better."
Alabama continued to play the Iron Bowl in Birmingham through the 1998 season. Then, as some many have reluctantly predicted, Alabama welcomed Auburn to Tuscaloosa on a very cold day indeed. Auburn won 9-0.

Yep. Bham is a pretty cool place to live now.

Perkens did say that Alabama would never play in Jordan Hare
Perkins remains the most vocal critic of the relocation.
"I knew, if it came to moving the game out of Birmingham, it would destroy the game in some way, and I think it has," Perkins said. "I don’t think anyone wants to admit it, but I think it has."
