The world didnt start just when Oats was hired.
At this point in time, Auburn was coming off a Final 4 appearance and Bama perennially missed the tournament. I literally cannot find a more favorable starting point for you

You should probably compare Bruce's overall achievements to Oats.
Oats inherited a program that frequently signed 5 star players. It isnt that hard of a turnaround to sign some talented dudes and chuck up threes 47% of the time while praying for less than 15 turnovers a game.

The FF4 was like 5 years ago. The other regular season title, 6 years ago.
The comparison can only start when comparing what these coaches have done for their teams.

Tuscaloosa, I await your response:
I counted 7 NFL draft picks that I listed that were on Alabama's roster in 2007. Can you find 7 on Auburn's? No you cannot. Maybe one or two fifth round dudes as usual.
BTW Tuscaloosa one of the undrafted players from that team, Wallace Gilberry, ended up with 34 sacks in the NFL.
Another was once First Team All-SEC
Now find Auburn's first team all SEC guys this year.
Alabama had 5 first Team All SEC selections the same year they got beat by Louisiana Monroe.

Pearl’s final four came in his 14th year as a D-1 coach and his 23rd as a college head coach. Oats is currently in year 9 as a college head coach
This isn’t hard. I’m using a timeline where the guys are coaching in the same conference at the same time. It’s even slanted in Pearl’s favor as he had established a winning program and Oats had just been hired
Oats has outperformed Pearl since being hired despite being at a massive disadvantage. Don’t cry to me about it

Technically no slant. He had roster limitations due to the assistant coach doing shady stuff.

Dont care. Anything Pearl does at Auburn counts.

I think you suggesting Mike Shula did a better job of “roster management” - under some of the most severe sanctions in NCAA history - than what Freeze ended up with in year one - is one of the most laughable, absurdly stupid things I’ve ever read on these forums.
Maybe Hugh Freeze develops his former walk-ons and 3 stars as well as Saban did, maybe not. But using hindsight to make such a ridiculous claim is hilarious.
You’re counting guys that got drafted 2-3 years later and talking about them like they didn’t have multiple years to develop and were studs when Saban arrived. The only sure fire draft pick on that roster when Saban arrived was Andre Smith.
Did you know that Hugh Freeze’s first class at Auburn had a higher average recruit ranking than Nick Saban’s at Alabama? Of course you didn’t.
You guys brought in 14 players ranked 4 stars or higher before last season. If you can’t find 7 players on Auburn’s 2023 roster that will be drafted, that’s on Hugh.

Saban inherited an actual 5* in Andre Smith. He inherited a Butkus winner in Ronaldo as he was committed to Shula. He inherited 5 ALL-SEC players in 2007. He inherited a 1000 yard receiver.
You trying to pretend Saban inherited a worst roster than Freeze is the dumbest thing I have ever read. Auburn's best player in offense was probably a 2* transfer guard Freeze brought in or 3* Hunter. Freeze didnt inherit DJ hall, nor Caddell.
