And that buyout was the best money we have ever spent as a University.

Don't ever underestimate the power of Auburn's money-printing presses!!

That's the business of College Football. The Revenue for Auburn's Athletic Department was only about $55mil 20 years ago. It has almost quadrupled in 20 years, and that's the same for most power 5 schools.

SEC should see another big bump next year with the new TV Deal.

Bama paid 12 Million to hire their coach from UW. Plus a huge contract rumored to be 10 million per year, plus still paying Saban (He is worth every penny you pay him to have an office).

Auburn already hired and fired its Harsin

Auburn with Harsin first year…6-7
Auburn with Rev Hugh first year 6-7
Auburn program is clearly in a better place

$20 million in the hole means 20 more years of looking at this.

I see aubies posting this often, yet it makes no sense at all.

Harsin Prior to Auburn
76 wins 24 losses (76% win record) 0 championships in any league and 0 trips to NC game

Deboer prior to Alabama
104 wins 12 losses (90% win record) At Souix Falls competed in the Championship game 4 consecutive times, winning 3 of them. He also competed in the NC game against Michigan in 2023.

One of these is better than the other.

Pizza parties and recruiting from the quad should translate directly to success in the SEC

He recruited from the same pool of players the other schools did, right? He had success, right? His success was better than Harsin's, right?

Perhaps, but is anything I said untrue? I was simply pointing out that aubies want to call him "Harsin 2.0" but there is NOTHING even close to comparable about the accomplishments of the 2 men. Hopefully the folks at Bama don't undermine DeBoer like the aubies did Harsin.

Do we need to loan you some money to build the new arena or payoff the baseball gambling debts?

You say it too much. It's a tell. You need Auburn fans to be in shambles over something. Back to your old ways already, and that's a tell too.

Fired Harsin and still made 3.2 mill? That's a win.
