Great way to diversify your resume. Go to the same job you've been at 3 times before. Brilliant strategy.

Explains their thoughts on UAB, actually.

Jimmy Rane and Tim Cook say you are full of shite.

I guess he could go to an inferior program than every other major job he's had, which also doesn't seem like a great strategy.

Why did you leave out this part?

Auburn has assured Muschamp that it will compete with any offer made by a university program, though at least two NFL organizations have contacted him with provisional offers.

....well, they knew the aTm offer was $1.5M before this article was posted and before their offer. They undercut it by $300K, but we're supposed to believe they'll just now jump up $300K, b/c they said so? Why wouldn't they just go ahead and match the best offer now, they said they would do that in the article? That doesn't make sense.

Plus, the article already pointed out that y'all aren't in a great position to write checks that large right now.

True, but why go to a place that has never achieved the level that other schools offering have ? He doesn't need another black eye on his resume.

A&M doesn't really help him in that regard, but your point is valid and is why I think it would be best for him to go to the NFL.

Maybe he wants to build an A&M or SCAR up to major program level? Not sure DCs think about such things, though.

That's why the Rant is shitting its pants over the idea of A&M having a defense. Yawn.

Because with Sumlin's prowess on offense and Boom's on defense with that Texas 'cruitin, it will be a dangerous combination.

Sound familiar?

Plus Aggie rich, Auburn poor.

If I'm Malzahn, I'd consider a slight pay cut to help with landing who I truly wanted. Boom will have such a huge and immediate impact in recruiting, as well.

JC Shurburtt of 247 sports reported yesterday that Auburn was willing to pay Muschamp over 2 million. Thanks for posting what you want to believe

I really doubt Auburn wants to set that precedent. I also doubt Gus wants a $2M+ coordinator on his staff.

Maybe I'm wrong.

If we get into the territory where Gus would need to take a paycut to hire Muschamp, something has gone absurd.
