This made me laugh in the way that only those with young children can understand.

Both Auburn and Oregon used high school fields to practice during the 2010 Championship. I had two nephews who went to Pinnacle High School (Phoenix) where Oregon was practicing that year. I don't see the issue.

You edited and still can't spell high school correctly

Come on. Give the OP a break. That is his term paper he wrote for his GED final.

Give him one more chance.

It is seen as a small recruiting advantage. Not sure I agree but the OP doesn't seem to know much about football.

We give Auburn fans a hard time about this bowl, and at first I thought that if that was the best that Bama could get, I wish that they would refuse.
Now, I think about the Auburn fans' kids that will be able to go to a bowl game to see their team play, when if it had been to a larger city and further away they would not have been able to attend. Attending a bowl game is quite expensive when you figure in travel and lodging.

why is that a joke? most colleges practice at nice local high schools for their bowls games. the joke is the bowl game in which they're playing, not where they're practicing for said bowl ganme

Maybe you should go back to High School and learn to spell. Auburn is in Bham practicing because there are events that go with the bowl game. Visiting the Children's Hospital and the Civil Right Museum are two of those.

where do you think Alabama's baseball team practices during the SEC Baseball tournament, Yankee Stadium?

It's a learning opportunity for the younger generation of Auburn fans to learn all about the storied history of Legion Field: The Old Grey Lady aka The Football Capital of the South and Auburn's 15-32 record against Bama there.

I think it's funnier that their bowl game is at Legion Field.
