That's kinda optimistic, don't you think, considereing Auburn lost by 24,35 and 28 points respectively. You think teams will drop off enough and Auburn will improve enough to overcome the 3 TD's advantage against any of these teams?

Did anyone see AU going undefeated in 2010? While Cam was a big part the offensive line that was senior loaded was the major portion that helped that team. Rushing for 440 yards against LSU, the way AU rushed that year, even taking away Cam's yardage, was great.

AU also faced a very very tough schedule this year and did ok. AU was the youngest team in college football this year, sophomores starting on the defensive line with freshmen playing major time meant it was going to be a rough year.

Last year Cam's criticism was he was running behind the best offensive line in college football or at least one of the best.

AU in 2011 had one of the worst OLs due to poor blocking. There are two guys playing this year on the line that will not likely play next year due to sophomores with no game time experience starting over them. The coaches have regretted not starting the freshmen but it was too late to pull shirts.

AU with a more favorable schedule next year and more experience will be a much stronger team, 9-10 wins is expected next year by myself and that's with the current staff of QBs, if one of them catches on fire AU could very easily make a run at Atlanta.

Auburn losing 4 or 5 in a year!? Thats unthinkable.

You do realize Auburn was 9th in the SEC in scoring offense and 10th in total offense this year, right?

Malzahn has been there what? Three years? His offenses have sucked two of three years, and you had Cam the year it didn't.

This needed its own thread? And why don't you wait till its official. not just someone on a radio channel in the Gump.

Better yet, why don't you wait until you prove it on the field...

Chizik made a 5-7 team turn around and go 8-5 the next season, while then going 14-0 the season after that. Of course we were going to see another 7-6 or 8-5 season this year (let's not forget how many players we lost, I know this board has a short memory of only back to the '08 and '09 seasons), while most of the retards on this board predicted 4-8.

We'll improve next season and the year after. Chizik's first year was a shite storm, and this year was rebuilding. Ohnoezzz, he didn't win more than 8 games either year!

4th place didn't hurt Bama too much

Bama's 3 losses last year were by a combined 18 pts. Auburn's 3 losses this year (against just Arky,Bama, and LSU) were by a combined 87 pts.

Did a team in one year make up 21 points on another or not?

You know what every year means, right? In a small 5 year sample you couldn't even get close.

ok and we return almost everyone and we took it easy on yall winning by 35. so auburn isnt passing us next year. This isn't a knock on auburn I just think yall are two years away.

LSU should be the top team in 2011 as well going by experience, that said this exact same LSU team got physically dominated by AU in 2010. AU took a knee instead of going up 31-17, and with better special teams play AU wins that game by another TD and possibly could have kept LSU to a field goal less.

Teams swing a lot year to year. This AU team was the youngest in all of Div I, to think a more favorable schedule next year and far more experience and hopefully fewer injuries AU will be much stronger next year.

This is why these threads are ridiculous. People don't have a fricking clue what they are talking about and just run off at the mouth.

Well shite, he's gotta be better than Ted Roof. It's a freakin move in the right direction, IMO.

Now, let's see if Stoops wants to retain the Lolley/Thigpen combo.
