without even clicking the link, is it the Yahoo story by Forde we discussed already?

Not the Yahoo story, per se. But the story is based on the Yahoo story.

Does that make sense?

ETA
It's an article about the article! Media. Nobody can do their own research anymore. They are now writing articles about articles somebody else wrote.

Exactly, like Auburn placed themselves on a recruiting ban. And then under the microscope of AU Compliance and with the NCAA breathing down their necks, while 3 coaches are terminated and 2 big time players are sitting out the season, they go out and break their own self-imposed ban? WTH?

Yep. Say what you want to about how dirty our coaches may or may not be, but our compliance department, specifically McGlynn are as good as any in the country.
There's no way McGlynn & his crew weren't up every coaches arse, especially Bruce during that time. They were dealing with Prez Leath wanting to fire Bruce, and the AD doing everything possible to keep him. McGlynn had to be sure everything was clean and he had to work with the NCAA and for a stint Bruce couldn't cooperate with the internal investigation. No one left on that staff stepped out of line.

I love it when a writer uses Forde as a source and Forde uses al.com as a source. What the two writing geniuses failed to mention is al.com and corrected their own story. I do not like the term Fake News, but it is getting harder and harder to avoid.

AU will have one of its biggest signees (and tallest) in a long time arrive on campus this week. Bruce isn't reading this crap I can tell you that.

The only problem with the article is that they did not take the time to read the full story from Al.com... LINK Also, Auburn has been in constant communications with the NCAA and the Yahoo article is trying to connect dots that are not there..

But there were more self-imposed sanctions in addition to Purifoy and Wiley’s suspensions. And while it is impossible to prove any direct correlation, Auburn did not have any true freshmen scholarship players on last years roster, despite having multiple open scholarships.

The program is no longer under any self-imposed penalty.

Per a source, Auburn did have a previously scheduled visit with an EYBL travel basketball team, Athletes of Tomorrow. The visit to a game in February had been planned prior to Person’s arrest and Auburn’s self-imposed sanctions. Auburn allowed for the visit, which included two current AU freshmen and a top AU prospect.

You cannot attack what does not exist. I am no Auburn fan, but if Forde wrote it you can pretty much assume it isn’t accurate at all.

Sources inside the AD are expecting the worst in the NOA. Could spread to multiple sports.

Is this the same "source" who told you Trey Sanders had a minor injury that was not even worth discussing?
