Crybaby Cam has a very noticeable shoulder injury. He's short arming while throwing.

Moseley's shoulder was hurt during spring and some are speculating that it's still hurt, however all they got to see was the QB's warming up and I just don't know how much you can take from that.

Some short depth charts at the QB position in the state of AL this year.

If Moseley is injured or leaves, who is the third QB?

A walk-on, or possibly Ryan White...

I think he's asking who is behind Moseley.

The depth chart will be
Frazier
Moseley
Jonathan Wallace - freshman
walk ons

There will be more on Trovon Reed in tomorrow’s Ledger-Enquirer, but here’s a quick preview on the bigger, bulkier Reed, who’s up to 195 pounds. “When I got here, injuries were one of my biggest things coming out of high school, and that’s because I didn’t lift in high school,” Reed said. “When you gain weight in the right places, it actually makes you faster. So I just started gaining weight and being more physical.”
quote:

Every receiver that came for interviews — and there were a lot — noted that Loeffler plans to spread the ball around. Quan Bray went so far as to mention just about every position on the field, save for fullback. ”He has got some things up his sleeve,” Bray said.
quote:

Walk-on safety Trent Fisher says Brian VanGorder’s defense is designed to be similar to an NFL defense. “ ”It’s definitely an NFL system, but that’s what we need,” Fisher said. “The coaches are putting us in position to make plays in this defense — and that’s good. We love it. We’re going to get after it.”
quote:

Ryan Smith welcomes the challenge. “I feel like I know the game more, a lot more about the game,” Smith said. “That comes with Coach VanGorder and Coach Martinez coming in and putting in this defense. I feel like I got a new look at defense.”
quote:

Loeffler, like everybody else in the program, is happy with freshman quarterback Jonathan Wallace. “ I love him,” Loeffler said. ”Great mentality, he’s a winner, he’s leaning. For a young guy, being able to pick up the verbiage, and being able to communicate, walking into the huddle for the first time – he’s done a good job.”
quote:

Loeffler has been pleased for the running backs. “We’re stronger, we’re leaner, we’re faster and they’ve done a great job,” Loeffler said. “I’m really happy with the work that they put in in the summer time.”
quote:

Cassanova McKinzy has been impressive at middle linebacker as a true freshman so far. “Cassanova, we’ve been pretty pleased with his progress,” Thigpen said. “He’s physical and he can run. You can see why he’s a highly recruited kid. He’s got a lot to learn though.”
quote:

Having Jay Prosch in the backfield is helpful for the quarterbacks, too. “Any time Jay’s on the field, as a quarterback I’m definitely a lot more comfortable,” Frazier said. “I know no one’s getting through wherever Jay’s at.”

That depth chart is frightening.

Sometimes I really question why Trotter left. I know he wouldn't be the starter again and he knew it too but surely he could at least get some playing time. It would make a Frazier injury less scary.

You got to think his running plays will be limited.

Not everyone wants to bust their arse day in and day out to be an insurance policy. He was ready to move on and starting making some money in the real world.

I think WR can really be a position of strength for us this year if this talent comes through.

We have Mr. Reliable in Blake. Louis, Ray, and Coates are big targets (add to that maybe Jaquay Williams if he makes it in). Plus it sounds like Bray and Reed both have their heads on straight as slot receivers and will be getting downfield some too. Edit - I had forgot about Jaylon Denson also. Man out of all these guys we have to have somebody stand up.

I think they'll have help too, with an improved OL and Prosch back there to buy the qb some time they should have plenty of time to shed blocks and get in position. Not to mention that we'll utilize the TE more which means that we spread defenses out some more.

When you look at this group if they all live up to their talent this could be a really nice group for the next two to three years.

I wonder if the option is in the play book.

You have a mobile Qb who as it seems is taking 60% of the snaps under center...its possible.

They have said Loeffler will use a lot of different formations and looks. I wouldn't be surprised to see it in there. It would certainly play to Frazier's strengths.

I really believe that we haven't seen much of anything as far as the offense is concerned yet. Probably won't until Clemson. I'm anxious to see how it's run because I don't really think it will be all that similar to what Loeffler ran at Temple. He was handcuffed by the athletes he had there. With the athletes Auburn has he has a lot of freedom to throw in a little option here and there or something else.

Yeah I think it would definitely catch the other team off guard. In fact I wonder how Clemson is going to gameplan for Auburn, they really can't know exactly what looks to expect. I wonder if that element of surprise if executed correctly will really work in Auburn's favor.

I cannot think of a time when I knew so little.

With less than a month to go, I cannot tell anyone what type of offense we wil run yet. Probably wont find out until LAbor Day weekend.

In the words of Gene Chizik....

I don't think there's any question about that.

We might see some jet sweep action, which they ran in the spring, but I don't think Kiehl will carry the ball unless he's scrambling or he has to more than maybe 2-3 times a game. We've got 5 very capable RB's and a dozer of a FB.
