VictoryLand has been shut down for 3 years. The last time Auburn was relevant? Yep, their 2013 SEC Championship season.

VictoryLand reopened for business today.

quote:

"We've got over 200 million dollars invested here," said VictoryLand president Milton McGregor. "You don't do something that's not legal when you got that kind of money invested.

"We got our rights restored. We're now employing people, paying charities, paying taxes, and providing a great service to our customers," he said.

Tuesday's re-opening saw more than 5,000 customers and a number of Auburn football players.

McGregor does not believe his facility will close again anytime soon.

Is VictoryLand a casino in a place where it's not quite legal to have a casino? I like this a lot.

You will like it even better if you're an Aggie going to the Auburn game. I think the place is only 30 minutes away from campus.

Yeah, the one with him skipping down Dexter Avenue with his ankle monitor is my favorite.

I wonder what the going rate for a top QB now. I'm sure the rate has inflated.
