Yes, I do. I expect Malzahn will do well. I also expect Leach will do well. This is Leach's 2nd year.

As do I, after his scholly OL gets experience. As it is now, it's probably the worst in all D1. That should allow AU to get pressure and slow down the bombs down the field.

I'm surprised people think Malzahn's Offense in his 1st game, 1st season will roll but Leach's Offense in his 2nd year won't be able to do much. Doesn't make much sense.
Half of our team has been in Malzahn's offense before. And since we put up 37 points in our first game in 2009 where all our players were recruited for a completely different system, I think the offense will be alright.

Washington St. wins this game outright.

Lots of extra chromosomes in this thread

All our skill players and most of our OL were recruited to run this offense.

I'm with you... Take WSU and the under.

Which, IYAM, is pretty laughable considering 4 of Washington State's starting offensive linemen will be former walk-ons. Not surprising, though. You'd predict a loss or close game if Auburn played the Afghanistanian Poly Tech School for the Blind, Deaf, and Legless...

The difference in this game isn't going to be Malzahn's offense or that this is Leach's second year with the team.
WSU doesnt suck because of Mike Leach. They suck because their team is chalk full of 1 and 2 star athletes. The talent disparity between Auburn and WSU is huge. No amount of coaching can overcome a disparity that large.

OK. Auburn should KILL Washington State because of the talent discrepancy. If they don't, what does that say about Gus?

And Auburn shouldn't kill them, but it shouldn't ever be that close.

It has already been stated in this thread (by AU fans) if AU doesn't dominate WSU it will suck to be an AU fan this year. I don't know what your above post is supposed to accomplish. Redundant post is redundant.
ETA: And by dominate, I don't mean blow out win - I mean get out in front, stay out in front, with the game never in question.

I'm expecting a 10-17 point victory
If that doesn't happen, then I give Beer Bryant full permission to start a derp thread on Saturday (which I'm sure he'd do anyhow)

Same here, I'm putting it at 10-24 points. I'd still take WSU with the points if I had to put money on the game.

I don't think Bama will cover. I expect this game to be much closer than a lot of people think. Chances of an upset Saturday. Washington St. 40%, VT 25 %. I try to take homerism out of my rationale on gameday.
Posted on 8/28/13 at 8:16 pm to Beer Bryant
No id say there's about a 5% chance of VT upsetting you

I am not sure about bama covering either. Beamer will have the defense as prepared as they can be and bama's oline is not going to dominate right out of the gate. They will get better as the year goes on, but they are not going to just show up and be great.
Course Va Tech has no Oline at all.
I'll take bama about 30-13. No cover.
Chance of bama losing, 3%. Chance AU loses, 10%.

Yes they will, this game will be won by 4 touchdowns.

I'm not taking it either way. Like I said earlier, my favorite beat is AU over MSU in a pick-em in a futures bet.
