We are a hell of a lot better team. Also, if WSU's qb does not get beat to hell, I will be surprised. I expect several WSU turnovers and for us to score in bunches. I would say we put up between 35-42 points and WSU in the low to mid 20's.

I think you are severely overestimating how out of sync your offense will be in the 1st half. You have a qb that took snaps last spring at JUCO and entirely new scheme.

These games almost always look sloppy in the first half.

WSU is capable. They showed it last year at times. Erratic, but that was Leach's first year. They should be more stable this year.

Maybe because they have a patchwork O-line right now. I believe three of them were walk-ons.

Barn should put up a bunch of points on their defense. I'll be surprised if it's less than 40.

The question is going to be, how many points do they give up.

If the answer is more than 28, they're in trouble the rest of the year.

I looked at the two deep released on Tuesday and all the usual suspects were listed - it was what was expected. In spring he was saying that some of the schollie guys weren't playing well and they are back at the top of the depth chart now. Classic Leach.

but Leach's Offense in his 2nd year won't be able to do much. Doesn't make much sense.

Sure it does. They have an O line of former walk-ons and freshman.

I think NM is dynamic enough to make some big plays early regardless. Our game plan will be pretty simple early, a lot of runs, short passes and qb keepers. I think we move the ball fine as I think we run on WSU early and often and that includes some big plays by NM. People are going to learn fast he can go 80 yards on a broken play or a designed qb run at any time.

They are terrible and may be worse this year than last due to an offensive line that is probably gonna get blown up all year.

Season hasn't started, so no one knows yet, but that is what I expect with their patchwork oline with the freshemen. Their qb may die.

They beat Washington to end the season. They lost AT Stanford by 7, Stanford returned an INT for a TD. Lost to UCLA by 8, UCLA scored a TD on a blocked FG return, a fumble return for a TD and a safety. Like I said, they're capable but were erratic last year.

You need to change your thread title to Hey Slapdick fans of other teams what do you expect out of AU's offense against Wazzou?

I'll agree to disagree. Our lines should dominate the game, so I'm not giving them a chance. If we don't dominate at the line of scrimmage, it's going to be a terrible year as an AU fan.

Why? Both teams were 3-9 last year. WSU was 94th in Total Offense last year, AU was 113th. AU was 79th in Total Defense, WSU 81st.

I could see them getting into a bowl game potentially. Dangerous is how I'd characterize them.

They have 2 gimme wins. They will be huge underdogs in every single conference game this year (they do not play Colorado). They have to go to Washington. Their only conference home games (no way they win on the road) are Oregon State, Utah, and Arizona State. They have a chance to beat Utah. That's it. Slight chance to pull off a shocker against ASU.

Auburn, you are playing a team that will go 2-7 in the PAC 12 and 4-8 AT BEST (personally I think 0-9 conference and 2-10 overall). Shouldnt be a problem.

Dude, just stop. The talent is there to exploit a walk-on line. You of all people should know the difference a coaching change can make.

They have 4 "home" games and 5 away games this year. With 9 conference games, you switch off between 4 and 5 at home.

However the last two years WSU has played 1 home game at Century Link Field in Seattle. I did not count that as a "home" game in my previous post because it's not in Pullman, WA. Also this year it's against Stanford. So no chance they win.

ETA - WSU's "home" game in Seattle against Oregon last year had more Duck fans than Cougar fans in attendance.
