Chizik meddled a lot (see 2012 as proof).
He was upset that Malzahn and Cam got most of the credit for 2010.
Chiz wanted the change at QB (Clint Moseley over Barrett Trotter). There is a lot to this story that I will not put on a message board, but Malzahn had a lot of reasons to not like Clint Moseley. Chiz told him to start him.
Look at the bowl game, Gus stayed because he was promised he could run his offense. We finally scored some points.

both qbs in those years had less that 200 yards rushing. Gus doesn't need a running qb.
This ain't Tulsa baw I don't care about what Gus did at Tulsa.
Ask Arkansas fans about how much they care about Bert's success at Wisconsin right now

Tulsa offense doesn't play against LSU and Bama defenses either.

All I know is that Chizik can coach D.
UNC had the worst performing D in the nation last season. In 3 games this season, our D has improved 100%+ per cent. It's not a great D yet, but you can really see the impact he has had on the team.

quote:Don't bring that Tulsa shite here. What would those Tulsa QB #'s have been if they had to face SEC defenses every damn week?
Tulsa Offense National stats 2007 #2 passing offense - #32 rushing offense 2008 # 6 passing offense- #2 rushing offense both qbs in those years had less that 200 yards rushing. Gus doesn't need a running qb.

Why because we don't want to correlate Tulsa offense with SEC play? We have the Todd era to show that it can at least be effective with a passer only, but not elite.
Doesn't mean he can't duplicate Tulsa numbers with a pocket passer in the SEC, but so far we can't say, amirite?

no, i don't think you are. 2006 arky team?
i was originally responding to those saying gus's offense needs a running qb to work. that is not true.
if you want to qualify your statement a bit more to "Doesn't mean he can't duplicate Tulsa numbers with a pocket passer AT AUBURN, but so far we can't say, amirite?"
i would probably agree with you.

People chalk that up to college level competition, but the kid is dazed and confused on the field. He should know that AU offense like the back of his hand. He's had plenty of reps with talented RB's and freaking Duke Williams at WR. The tools are there, the kid just can't find the tool shed. I feel for the kid right now.
