Thursday night away game. Id be willing to bet that AU comes out slow. Kstate also is use to playing an offense like theres so they have that going for them. I guess it will all depend on if Kstate can score 35 to keep them in it. My guess is AU will be up 7 to 10 going into half and will come out in the second half and finish them off but it will not be the domination they expect.
What offense in the Big12 is similar to Auburn's? Almost all of them run some variation of the Air Raid except for Texas and K-State. Pass-heavy spread teams are the norm in that conference.
Auburn is coming off a bye but it being away and the Thursday game what will make it tough.

this game will be over by halftime. Dont forget how weak that conference is and it seems like everyone put up a shitload of points on them last year. Should be a ton of long plays

Pretty confident about AU handling business. If the team doesnt treat this season like a fresh slate though... This is a new year, different chemistry and pressure that they didn't have last season. Could go different ways and this will be a game that will give an idea of what this team is about either way.

I know how this game goes. Ill name offenses then you will tell me how they are nothing like AU because of this or that. While not many offenses are exactly the same enough is there that a great coach like Sneider still knows it well.
For starters they had Klein as their own QB who could run and throw. They played Oregon in their bowl game the year before last. They played Michigan in their bowl game this year. Geno Smith in 2012, Florence 2012.

Auburn fans should deft look at this game as a trap game. SHould be fun to watch but Auburn will win big unless they can't get going fast

KState away is a trap. Would still expect AU to win but may be a tougher game than most expect.

I expect to win but can definitely see it as a trap game. Some of those posts on that site though
Will make for good reading after the game I think.

Auburn has a bi week before this game. They will blow Kansas St out of the water. 48-13

My main concern is that we haven't beaten a regular season OOC opponent on the road since Terry Bowden was our HC.
That said, we should win by a comfortable margin. Its a New Day, bitchez.

goEMAW is a special slice of internet greatness for the SEC fans not familiar with it. I highly suggest some of you sign up and start posting there

It seems like the great folks on goEMAW think you were lucky and are pretty confident in a victory for tPurple Wizard and crew.
Just read the entire thread and I'm not sure where you got those points? They seem like the angry underdog who is excited to get a big time SEC team in their stadium to me
I think they're talking out their arse about Auburn fans all thinking this will be a cupcake...KSU really concerns me and a lot of Auburn fans
KSU, UGA and Bama are the main games I'm worried about this year honestly
ETA I guess I underestimated our fans from the rest of this thread. There's more levelheaded predictions on the Auburn board it seems

Get ready to hear their band play "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" about 100 times

It's been talked about plenty of how fortunate they were last season

I don't know, but I definitely think we have a solid chance of upsetting them.

Their defense was suspect all season

They could have just as easily been an 8-4 team as an 11-1 team.

With the new emphasis on strength of schedule I'm a little worried about how much they are going to impact our ability to make it into the playoffs this year.

i think it'll play out like the OU/KSU game last year... will be tight, but we end up winning by two scores.

Snyder is a hell of a coach. He's a H.O.F. coach. I just don't think he has the talent right now. Thursday night road games are tough, but I feel good about our guys outscoring them.

I think our coahcing staff has proved that they can prepare a team for tough situations so I see Au winning and going away with in in the 4th.
