I wanted him at AU, but it all worked out.

Like most posted I don't think he and us were ever that serious, but things may have gotten close had dad stayed on staff. He was looking at Stanford hard, and we preferred Procisse I think. He is a great QB, and everyone expected him to be, but especially after the JJ thing and with Procisse committed at the time we never got real far with Bentley and started wanted more runner types at QB

Exactly. Kid lived most of his life in South Carolina. He moved here when Gus hired his dad.

His dad was hired by muschamp.... that's the only reason he's at USCe. Hardly a "steal".
