What a crazy weekend. LSU wins on the last second, then auburn wins because it was AFTER the last second, then Miles gets fired.

Do you see this as a potential resurgence of your football team, or do you see it as you basically lost from a coaching standpoint (only surviving because of Miles' clock management) so it doesn't really change your perception of Gus?

All I know is saban has ran off another coach who was the best the school has ever seen. Malzhan won't be far behind miles...bet

Our team did well. I would have liked to see us get some TDs.

Its definitely a confidence booster for our team headed into the rest of the schedule. If we can just score some touchdowns in the red zone we should be fine. Our D was great and QB play was adequate. O line is still an issue. How do we go for it on 4th down on the 2 yard line and not get that in?

If its true that Lashlee got control of play calling this weekend then my perception of Gus takes a big hit due to the horrible play calling of A&M and Clemson.

Maybe we go 8-4

Pretty sad when you consider that Saban, Miles (fired), Richt (fired), and Sumlin (TBD) were the only coaches to win 8+ wins these past 4 seasons.

This is an overdone narrative by our fans. You could make a case that Tuberville and Meyer left because of Saban, but little more than that. If Miles was going to be fired because he couldn't beat Alabama, they wouldn't have let it get to 5 straight. And they wouldn't have done it after the season started this year but before the Bama game.

LSU underperformed for several years now, and it became obvious that the same was happening this year.

Yep, Malzahn's role in Les getting fired is more of Les getting Croomed by Malzahn. Saban does the processing.

Never said anything about auburn beating lsu...tbh it really didn't have much to do with it imo...well auburn is pretty much irrelevant so maybe it had a little to do with it

It helps for sure. 2-2 and we will beat LaMo to go 3-2.

Gus needs to beat MSU to go to 4-2. Losing to MSU 3 years in a row would not be acceptable. Assuming wins over Vandy and Alabama AM gets Auburn to 6 wins. I think UGA is vulnerable and so is Arkie, so I see anywhere from 6-6 and 8-4. Under those scenarios, Gus gets one more year.

Ugly win.

Will take that every time.

Would be okay with every win we scratch and claw for this year.

Outside my scope to influence head coach so I just want to enjoy the games while I am fortunate enough to watch them.

I think that's accurate. auburn will beat Alabama A&M and Vandy, and are good enough to knock off one of the other teams. A good bet would be 7 wins.

That might save Gus this year, but I doubt auburn fans will be happy with that very long.

I think Auburn will beat everybody left except Ole Miss and Bama. Auburn's offense isn't as bad as people think. Most teams improve in the red zone as the season progresses. I know 8-4 won't be tolerated very long at Auburn. But it is progress. 2017 should determine Gus's fate.

What I saw is we are 1 QB away from being a serious playoff contender this year. But it is what it is. That's why Lashlee will be gone after this year, bring in Briles at OC, and a good QB. Auburn is loaded with young talent. Gus will be fine.

As for this year, I see us having a chance to beat anyone left on the schedule. The defense is legit.

i'm sure the rest know this, but will troll anyway.

miles ain't the first guy to get fired for trotting out a dysfunctional offense with qb issues, and he won't be the last.

Man it's crazy to think how Les was literally one second away from keeping his job

I think Gus will be fine honestly. He's not that bad a coach. He has a great defense, he has his qb for the next 2 and a half years and he has some studs at rb. They will make a bowl this year with that schedule they will compete next year and he has 2 years to find his next qb

With that said, simmer down there sparky lol. You beat a team that will finished 6th In the west, at home, and we're lucky as hell to do that. Sean white isn't the problem, your wideouts are god awful and are no threat to ever do anything. Your coach consistently puts the team in a position to fail. Lsu might have the 4th or 5th best defense on the west and you could not score a TD on them.

Take your 6 wins this year and be thankful your in a bowl

Gus killed Miles, not Saban. Get that shite correct. Gus made his arse quit.
