The cheapest ticket on Stubhub is now $2300 with fees.

Got mine for 850.

Crazy. I lucked into two lower level, 10 yardline seats for $600 a piece. Wonder what I'd get for them?

Upperdeckers were going for $1250 a couple weeks ago. A lot of people kept saying to wait for after Christmas and they'd go down. Now, they're $1500 more than what they were. Crazy.

Is this going to be a pro Auburn crowd or pro Oregon or 50/50?
Anybody know?

It wouldn't surprise me if it's tilted heavier to Auburn than that. Either way, ticket prices are through the roof. If I wasn't such a fanatical loser, I'd sell mine and spend a hellacious week in Vegas.

I might need to have a talk with the wife when she gets home. I could take the $1200 I spent and get $6k for them? Hmmmmm....

Paid face value for my pair in section 139 ..wooooo

Also flying into vegas, staying on the strip for 3 nights and taking the charter to glendale..the whole trip including the ticket will cost us less than 1k a person...boom

Got round trip nonstop delta airfare plus 3 nights in an upgraded room at Harrah's in the middle of the strip for 330 per person...add in the charter at 45 plus ticket at 315. And I'm right at 1k, which is less than most tickets alone.... travelocity ftw

Thats a lot of money to spend to see a "rented mule" have a chance to win a "rented" championship. Its not like your going to get to keep it or anything.....

good for you two ....how did you both get those for that price?

I had been looking pretty hard for tickets, as of last week I have pretty much "given up"...being a married guy with a young family I just can't justify spending thousands of dollars for a football ticket

We got lucky as hell. The woman that babysits my daughter has a sister in Ohio. The company she works for had a raffle for two airfares, hotel room and two tickets to the game. And she ends up winning the damn thing. Well, she's an Ohio State fan and doesn't care about the game. She just wanted the plane tix and hotel so that they could get out of Ohio for a few days. She paid a little over $1100 in taxes for the winnings, so I paid her $1200 so she didn't have to come out of pocket. However, I'm thinking seriously about offloading these things if I can get that kind of money for them.

wow....that is awesome

I know a couple of ticket brokers, plus my cousin is also personal friends with the people that run Stub-Hub. All of them predicted that the price of the BCS title game tickets were going to go down after Christmas, so I was sort of being patient expecting the prices to go down. I figured if I found a ticket for a "reasonable price" (even by the end of this week) I would drive out there....but it looks like those folks were wrong in their predictions of the prices going down

Guesstimates are beyond useless. All I heard last year was how the Texas crowd was going to dominate the stadium...how'd that work out?
