Are ya'll that bad, or is it just early in the season?

Cambell, UNC-Asheville, and Samford? That's pathetic, no offense.

We have a pretty good shot to lose every game this year. Seriously. I would be pretty surprised if we win 2 or 3 games all year. And no offense taken. Trust me, we know how bad we are.

Worse. Lost 2 best (not saying much) returners to serious injuries and 2 top recruits didn't qualify. 7-8 wins will be an acomplishment. Good recruiting class coming in next year, so we may be respectable in 2 or 3 years.

If we wouldn't have had so many injuries we would be able to win 1 game this year. Its a terrible way to start a career for Barbee and an equally bad way to open up with our stadium.

Gees man. That's terrible.

I think that guy will end up being a good coach though.

So the Kemp kid didn't qualify?

Kemp and Cothron (sp?) didn't qualify. Barbee took a chance on Cothron, it was pretty obvious he would have a hell of a time qualifying. This year's class is good but it's still the worst in the SEC, which says something about the SEC's recruiting this year.

Anyways it will take a couple of years to get really good. Barbee recruits well and he recruits big. In a couple of years 4/5 of our players on the court at any given time will be over 6'8". Tall, lanky and fast players.

It's a lot to go into honestly. But I don't expect any 20 win season until 2012 or later.

If it makes you feel any better I (as well as any UGA fan that also follows basketball [before last year], which there aren't many) know exactly how yall feel. Harrick put us in a worse position than Shula did bama in football. He basically decimated our program and set it back a decade. In Felton's first year we beat Florida and had some good wins, but with all of Harrick's players of course. In Felton's second year the punishment REALLY took it's toll. I don't know the exact numbers, but I think we went something like 8-20. It was miserable. It sucked walking into Stegeman every game knowing you were going to get blown out and only seeing 2,000 people in the stands max.

Barbee is going to be good if he is given the time and can endure what he is going to have to go through. AU probably has the easiest non-conference schedule ever and yet, they will be lucky to win half of their non-conference games. I think we will suprise 1 or 2 teams in the SEC and play somebody close, maybe even get a conference win or 2.

I wonder if this is what Vandy football fans feel like. It's actually not all that bad, because the expectations are so low, there is no disappointment.

I love basketball. It sucks living in a state where every team sux. Hell, Samford and UAB have been better than Bama or Barn in the last several years. At least Bama had a good year or two with Gotfried.
